See how quickly we use this to blame every arab?

It is all of them, they are all wrong. It is not like there is an overwhelming chunk of them who don't want this, and think the actions taken bny Hamas are brutal and cannot be tolerated.

Let us all lose our minds and force the good members of our arab community onto the Hamas side because that is exactly what Hamas wants so they can have more fighters desperate to live, and exactly what @Demiurge wants because he does not care for Arab people enough to center his language on the actual people doing this instead of blaming a whole lot of people who have nothing to do with it.

I am perfectly fine with Isreal going to war with Gaza to protect themselves because Isreali lives matter, but arab lives matter to me too. .

The Hamas attack had been reminding me of something, I finally realized it was this. "We'll sneak attack Israel, have some laughs, and then when Israel tries to respond the rest of the world will call for a ceasefire on both sides!"

And then Hamas gets beaten to a pulp while the world watches and does basically nothing.

The UN secretary-general said some shit yesterday, and Israel responds by not granting visas to any UN official.

Today, the UN secretary-general tried to walk back his comments.

Jesus wept. I swear the UN gets worse and becomes less relevant in world affairs every year. :dayton:

Filipino caregiver paid off terrorist, saved herself and 95-year-old employer

Camille Jesalva opened wallet, handed over $370 intended for a trip home, and smartphone

A quick-thinking Filipino caregiver saved her life and that of her 95-year-old employer Nitza Hefetz on October 7 by giving a Hamas terrorist who had broken into their Gaza border home the savings she had prepared for a planned trip to the Philippines two days later.

“I opened my wallet and told him to take everything I had, NIS 1,500 ($370), just to save myself and Nitza,” the carer, Camille Jesalva, told the Ynet news site. “I showed him the plane ticket and asked him just not to take that.”

The terrorist then asked if there was more money in the house, in Kibbutz Nirim, and walked around the property, with Jaslava, 31, behind him. He took Jesalva’s smartphone and eventually left.

I hope that guy dies horribly, and I hope the IDF identifies him before they kill him so they can call his mom and tell her all about it afterwards. Then I want the IDF to make a "how it started/how it's going" meme about it. :bergman:

I'm tired of all these dumbass pro-Palestine protests in my city, many of which have been organized by bourgeois white leftist university students who have never known true hardship but are perfectly comfortable lecturing other people (including Palestinians) about the how the world should be.

French President Emmanuel Macron said France is sending a navy ship to “support” hospitals in the Gaza Strip, which are struggling to function due to the lack of fuel and medical supplies.

The ship is set to leave the French coastal city of Toulon “in the next 48 hours,” Macron said Wednesday as he pledged that France would be “fully involved in securing access to medicines and care” for the people in the Gaza Strip. According to French channel BFMTV, the ship is a French helicopter carrier called the Tonnerre.

I wonder how many people with decry the announcement as unfair because this sort of aid will be harder for Hamas to steal for themselves? :chris:

It's not even a cultural genocide, like forced assimilation of native populations in the West or the Soviet attempt to destroy the language and culture of Ukraine.

That doesn't mean there isn't warfare and death, and absolutely some of it is inexcusable. People seem to now think any loss of life is a genocide. It's a ridiculous destruction of the meaning of the word.

I really want to know what I am supposed to say to some of my friends who are jewish and have visited Isreal and even have some family there. I want to know how to tell them that this is somehow what the Isrealis deserve for the cruelty of the IDF.

Because I just can't. I doin't think civilians deserve to be raped and plundered.

But then what do I tell my Muslim friends who have seen the things said by the Isrealis about palestinians and really muslims in general. It is worse the the fucking racist white guys with the blacks.

I want to help eas the obvious and correct paind and disgust on both sides, but I see both sides.

It is not easy to be a referee in a conflict. Everyone ends up hating you. I think that was my first social position I actually preferred. It is probably why I excelled at being a paintball referee and gamemaster. But this is not some game, and it really needs a referee that can enforce some rules. No one is going to like the fucking ref.

Do any of you see why I am a fucking troll now? You have to get attention as a referee. You normally do not have weapons and are overpowered. No one really has to listen to you and they can all just fall into conflict.

The middle east needs a fucking ref. There needs to be a penalty box too. Maybe some people need to be ejected from the game for horrible abuse, but the ref has to make that call, not the opponent. Maybe it is time for the world to step up and tell these fighting assholes enough is enough. We put them all in penalty, ram cameras up their asses and anyone who is caught with a gun, IED, manifesto, or even talking fucking crap harassing someone is going to jail for a while until they cool the fuck down.

That is what you have to do to stop this. The world has to ref this shit with a little more than a court with no fucking power. Otherwise, Isreal and Palestinine fight to the death. That is a lot of death. They cannot stop the fighting and regulate themselves. They are too entrenched in the pain and tragedy to do so.

In one of my social media feeds I had a post about Muslim phrases, and how dying in the furtherance of Islam is a great honour, and Allah even gets thanked for them dying as it means they're off to Paradise.

Now, as a purveyor of the bleakest humour, I had to stop my inner troll from asking if, when the victims appear to think you're doing them a solid, is it really genocide, or just a party bus to heaven?

In a briefing for reporters of international media outlets, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says the Hamas terror group’s main base of operations is under Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Hagari says that Hamas has several underground complexes under Shifa — the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip — which are used by the terror group’s leaders to direct attacks against Israel.

He notes: “We have concrete evidence that hundreds of terrorists flooded into the hospital to hide there after the massacres of October 7.”

He says Israel has intelligence that there are several tunnels leading to the underground base from outside the hospital, so that Hamas officials do not need to enter the hospital to reach it. But Hagari adds that there is also an entrance to the underground complex from within one of the wards.

“Hamas terrorists operate inside and under Shifa hospital — and other hospitals in Gaza — with a network of terror tunnels,” he says. “Shifa is not the only hospital — it is one of many. Hamas use of hospitals is systematic.”

Additionally, according to the IDF, Hamas’s internal security has a command center inside Shifa Hospital, from which it directs rocket fire on Israel and stores weapons.

“Hamas terrorists operate inside hospitals precisely because they know that the IDF distinguishes between terrorists and civilians.”

He says that the hospital’s energy infrastructure is also used by Hamas’s underground base.

He says the information on Hamas’s use of the hospital is based on a wide range of intelligence sources collected by the Military Intelligence Directorate and Shin Bet security agency. He says the intel has already been provided to allies.

And he warns: “When medical facilities are used for terror purposes, they are liable to lose their protection from attack in accordance with international law.

Hamas has not accomplished their strategic goal, which was to derail the trend of Arab nations normalizing relations with Israel.

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/saudi...rmalization-can-resume-after-war-white-house/

US President Joe Biden and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman agreed to eventually “build on” the US-brokered negotiations that had been underway to normalize ties between Israel and Saudi Arabia before the outbreak of the Gaza war, the White House said after the two leaders spoke on Tuesday.

Biden and bin Salman “affirmed the importance of working toward a sustainable peace between Israelis and Palestinians as soon as the crisis subsides, building on the work that was already underway between Saudi Arabia and the United States over recent months,” said a readout from the White House.

Biden administration officials have acknowledged that the normalization effort is no longer the most immediate priority for the US and Israel, as they work to respond to the October 7 Hamas onslaught. However, the White House insists that it is still committed to the goal and has suggested that one of the reasons for the Hamas massacre was to try and thwart the effort.

Biden, but more notably bin Salman as well, “welcomed ongoing efforts to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas and called for their immediate release,” according to the readout.

The other Arab nations don't give a shit about the Palestinians, and more and more of them are done pretending to care about the Palestinians as an excuse to shit on Israel.
