It is going to be Biden vs Trump again. Maybe they will Convict Trump of something and that will force the repugs to chose someone else, but they do not seem to be wanting that so it is going to be Biden vs Trump again.

No, FF, that’s not how the system works. And polls, especially this far out, are meaningless. “Approval rating” polls doubly so. Just because you don’t approve of the job someone is doing doesn’t mean that you’re not going to vote for them.

Actually I misspoke. The poll was 33%. And there is obviously some correlation with voting intention. IIRC there has never been a successful reelection for this office of someone with this kind of rating.

 

There’s also never been a candidate running against open fascist before. And because most polls are conducted via landline, the only people who respond to them tend to be elderly and have the political acumen of FF. That’s why you get results like these.

Just want to point out that, historically, the Republican who wins the Iowa caucuses doesn't get to be President. (Most of the time, they don't even wind up being the GOP nominee.)
