Currently watching Clone Wars. which… would make for an interesting 6 weeks with my birthday right in the middle there. But, Prior to this viewing, I binged Big Bang Theory. I suppose, I wouldn’t be bored with Sheldon’s shenanigans.
“Personal Log, Stardate 47329.4. I finally realize why I've had trouble sleeping the last few nights. Yesterday was the fourth anniversary of the massacre at Wolf 359 – the fourth anniversary of Jennifer's death. I'm not sure what bothers me more – the date itself or the fact that it almost passed unnoticed."
Sisko's first day. "Personal Log, Captain Picard, the dick who got my wife Jennifer and a whole bunch of other people killed has now sent me to a shithole Cardasian Space Station on the edge of Federation space that I'm supposed to command. How the hell did Starfleet let him back in after what he did? The Bajorans think of me as some sort of religious figure, my second in command is a real hot head and my best friend is a chick now, Ugh! I really want to go home, but my best friend is my science officer and she wants to stay and Jake is friends with the Ferangie boy so I'll stay for now. This place is really boring, I hope things pick up one day.'
This same meme could be used in many, many categories. I’ve a friend who is a botanist. She’s always trying to tell me specific names for plants and I’m just like “Rory. It’s fucking tree. “
Why do they have a possessive comma? Government recipients, racists, drunkards, wife beaters, and sports nuts? Well, there goes 98% of the Republican electorate. Loudmouth women? There goes every conservative female pundit and politician. Druggies, drunkards, AND Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses? Well, shit, you can't win. High fallutent sophisticated swine? Shit, they don't want rednecks OR nerds. Again, you can't win.
Whatever. Even though the words in my head are deleted, I push the right buttons to spit the right ones out.
By the way, doesn't "high fallutent" sound like a chemical ingredient? Sounds like a syrup they should put in Starbucks coffee in waffle marks over the foam part. Sounds like something UA should have an EpiPen for.
