AFAIK, it wasn't. I'm not friends with the person who posted it (a woman), and her profile is tightly locked down, so I don't want to pry, lest I seem all stalkery, but the place her SO got that was called "Guadalajara," maybe located in Illinois, but I cannot say for certain.
I prefer tacos to burritos, but seems to me that if a burrito is so big that you can't hold it in your hand you should probably call it something else.
I had a carnitas burrito at The Carnitas Snack Shack in North Park last night at about midnight. An excellent San Diego style burrito with just the right balance of toppings added in, a great selection of about a dozen different salsas to chose from. The flour tortillas were not made in house but they are the unfinished partially baked kind that they finish cooking on the flat iron right when you order it so it tastes fresh and has a nice toasty finish. All that and I even met a new friend who gave me her phone number. I hope everyone had a good St. Patty's day.
Yeah, I like the small street tacos so I can mix and match different meat types without having to eat too much. Get like one beef, one chicken, one pork, and one lamb, throw in some rice & beans, along with some grilled veggies and I am good to go.
A different kind of "religious" experience involving burritos. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-moment-rats-fall-ceiling-Texas-Chipotle.html
I always said Chipotle had shit food. That said, I am positive I have eaten at places in the third world which had worse sanitary conditions than that rodent infested Chipotle in Texas. Hell, I love going to Taco Alley in Tijuana but no way in hell would any of those places pass a food handling check in the US. Still, I have never gotten sick there though I make sure my food is thoroughly cooked in front of me.
How about we just admit that we like different things and be cool with it rather than belittling someone else's food choices? Sometimes I like wet burritos. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I like rice and beans in my burrito. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I like eggs, onions, and even potatoes in my burrito. Sometimes I don't. Either way, I now want a burrito. Sonic opens in 12 minutes. That handles breakfast. Then a proper sit down restaurant burrito for lunch.
Most of us don't feel obligated to judge other people's food choices. It's @Dinner. Whattaya gonna do?
Mods, please ban garamet for trolling outside the red room. Hell, just ban her as a favor for humanity. Thank you.
If I wasn't avoiding fastfood/restaurants/bars/pubs/etc due to the Corona, I'd be up for one or two of those.
Yesterday I had a beef burrito from some local-run hole in the wall in my China city. It was pretty good going down, if a little heavy on the tomato, but the venue was complete shit.
In a FB group I'm in, the subject of burritos came up, and someone thought that having a lot of sauce in the burrito would cause problems. I managed to not ask them if they'd ever had a "Wet Ass Burrito" and only obliquely implied that they were akin to Ben Shapiro.
It’s quite possible I just had the best tacos of my life out the trunk of a Geo Storm in the Lowe’s parking lot going to my truck after work.
