Kate Mulgrew says it's a good bet that Prodigy characters (particularly Janeway) will do a live-action crossover. https://trekmovie.com/2022/06/19/ka...odigy-characters-in-live-action-a-likelyhood/
Spectrum has the pilot to punch up any time I want. The others don't drop until each successive Friday.
Oh! Right! So much shit going on, keep forgetting to update! Every week, 2 episodes drop. So, week 1, 1-2 dropped cuz that was the 2 part pilot. This week, 3-4. Next week, 5-6. And so on, and so on. Right now, it's cliffhang-ed at "Dream Catcher".
The producer gives a big ass info dump on the upcoming second half of season 1. They are going to meet up with Vice Admiral Janeway. They are going to integrate more into Trek canon when they make it to the alpha quad. We're getting more legacy characters. They're trying to get Prodigy references dropped into the other shows. All the separate producers want the shows as integrated as they were in the 90's. That, and a whole bunch more. https://trekmovie.com/2022/07/21/in...character-futures-canon-connections-and-more/
I'd love it if they could rig up a 5 part crossover across the current shows like CW did with the superheroes. They did it in the Trek novels. 30th anniversary, they had a bad guy race that TOS/TNG/DS9/VOY all had to fight on separate occasions. Doesn't have to be a bad guy, could be a ship, an artifact, an immortal character, something.
So! Got the Blu-ray of LD season 2, and been keeping up with the Nick reruns of PROD and....still can't decide which is better. Each one does things better than the other. Apples and oranges. Maybe my decision will solidify better by episode 10. I give the teensiest edge to PROD cuz I love how holo-Janeway is developing.
just an individual opinion but I find Prodigy FAR superior to Lower Decks, the latter has some fun gags (like the bit they did with Q) but on the whole (and this was my initial objection to The Orville) I just don't go to trek when I want a series of gags Trek is for storytelling, integrate humor organically - don't start with humor But I'm not trying to convince anyone else of that view
They're completely different products created for completely different core audiences. Comparing them is silly.
Looks like we were both wrong. That's it for season one. According to this website, it's being released on home video in November: https://www.dvdsreleasedates.com/movies/10933/star-trek-prodigy
Remember that Okona spoiler a million years ago? Remember how it caused debate as to whether he was on Prodigy or Lower Decks? It's Prodigy. https://trekmovie.com/2022/09/08/wa...star-trek-prodigy-mid-season-first-look-clip/
I don’t care what anyone says, I liked the Okana episode. Not necessarily the love triangle part. But, the part about a guy flying around in his own spaceship doing his own thing.
Yeah, it's nice to know the Trek universe has Han Solos. We just rarely see them. And their first stab at a freighter captain was Harry Mudd.
Season 1, part 2 trailer. And it's not in the trailer, but Ronnie Cox is coming back as Jellico. https://trekmovie.com/2022/10/08/ro...n-star-trek-prodigy-watch-mid-season-trailer/
