I like how he points it out like people have no idea what he is looking at, and like it is safe to look at. I can just see millions of trumptards at home wondering what he was pointing to on the ceiling.
I got more out of the lunar eclipses I have seen, but I like the moon and night better. Plus you can stare at the moon and it's red hue when fully shadowed without being trump or going blind.then again I was only in southern Florida and did not get a full eclipse.
Science and normal to normal people. But it's curious that none of the science-deniers have claimed it didn't happen or that, like the Moon landings, it was faked. Correction: There's at least one denier right here.
What a waste of time. Lasted only a couple of minutes, didn't even get dark. After all the pre-game hype, I expected more. Where was the Monolith? The Star-Child? Any ancient prophecies fulfilled? At the very least I expected a couple of cults to drink the cyanide kool-aid in honor of today's celestial significance.
the eclipse totally fucked up my day! I was about to chop off a captured enemies head (sacrificing them duh) and the eclipse hit and everyone lost focus on the mission at hand - I had to abort the execution mid-stroke because they thought it was some "sign from god" or something. I can't catch a break!
Just a little sliver here, and honestly I think the world got darker an hour or so later when the cloud cover returned. A coworker who was hyped for it getting all dark was disappointed that it didn't get that dark, and I said, "That's how bright the Sun is, and how dangerous it is to look at the Sun even when it's mostly covered!"
His son looks like a beaten Theon afraid to say anything out of fear Ramsey would flay part of his body.
The sun shines for people of color every single day. Certainly it can't be labeled racist simply for performing a super-exclusive, cosmic show for a private audience of Caucasians? Gimme a break.
Actually, I listened to Floyd. All that you touch And all that you see. All that you taste And all you feel. All that you love And all that you hate. All you distrust And all you save. All that you give And all that you deal. All that you buy Beg borrow or steal. All you create And all you destroy. All that you do, And all that you say. All that you eat, And everyone you meet. All that you slight, And everyone you fight. And all that is now, And all that is gone, And all that's to come, And everything under the sun is in tune But the sun is eclipsed by the moon. There is no dark side of the moon, really. As a matter of fact it is all dark. But Bonnie Tyler is good also.
Some douche in a car near me was playing that loudly. Meh. After seeing Totality, all I could think of was "Black Hole Sun" as being WAY more appropriate...
Was talking to one of the guys I work with. A girl got stung in the eye by a bee during totality. Guess the bee got confused and tried to get under cover or something. The bee got under her solar viewers. Her parents ignored her until after totality was done. And last night, when I was looking at the AJC website, there was a picture of a group of kids looking at the eclipse with their viewers. You could see one of the kid's eyes through the viewers. Guess he got some of the fake ones.
Little Rock school district bought 22,000 "Eclipse glasses" that it turned out wouldn't work. Company reportedly was cutting them a refund check.
