Who can live at all if we can't afford to fucking FEED ourselves. These things require balance. You'll never sell normal people on punitive sacrifice.
Are you really so completely ignorant of the fact that climate change will - not very far in the future - be the very agent of people not being able to feed themselves? The required "sacrifice" is not arbitrary. It is demanded by the laws of physics.
I am aware of that. I'm just saying don't throw the baby out with the bathwater here. Can't expect everyone to live like me.
The only “sacrifice” that people like us can do/give/allow …whatever, would be negligible. People like us must force large corporations to sacrifice their profits by acting like decent human beings.
I'll decide what's "negligible" for me. As for those corporations, you can saddle them with all the fees and fines you can think of. All you're really doing there is raising the cost for consumers.
Not if the same laws requiring fees and fines is accompanied with their inability to increase prices to cover it. And, yes, it can and has been done.
Price fixing? No. Just no. The line up there about making green energy more affordable, that's how you do it.
I don’t think you understand the term “price fixing”. What I think you mean, the government allowing only a certain percentage of profit and the rest goes to pay off fines and fees, is not a bad thing. “Price fixing” is already happening. When corporations decide ‘this’ cannot be sold for less than ‘this’. That is price fixing and it is happening despite laws the founding fathers put in place. Who the fuck cares if it’s considered “communism”?! Honestly, I’d rather corporations start getting fucked and stop them from continuing to fuck us. If that’s communism, bring it the fuck on.
Rice global shortage coming. Best not require sacrifice of anyone though, least not the corporations!
Jimmy Hoffa is in the Detroit river. They didn't drive a dead body from Detroit to Vegas just to dump it in Lake Mead.
That is good news. And as far as lining up with red/blue states, wind and solar farms need lots of open land. Not, taking up room, relatively small surface area, one can be placed … anywhere. But, lots of open spaces/larger surface area means lots of wind turbines and solar collectors. There are actually lots of wind turbines and solar collectors here in Chicagoland and southeast Wisconsin. But, don’t produce as much energy as all the empty space along I-80 going through Iowa.
I can see @Uncle Albert 's two neurons arguing over how to waste more power while also smashing his woke electricity using machines.

Yeah, we've got Alberta and Nova Scotia burning right now. I'd rather we devote our resources to saving Nova Scotia.
El Nino is coming and it is going to fuck everything up. Things didn't cool down after the last one, and this will be another step change. I wonder what it will take to get some serious response at an international level.
