Buying ringtones for cell phones is one of the things I don't understand. It's even harder to comprehend that people spend hundreds of millions on those soundbites so they can be a tiny bit more annoying then the next person. That being said, I make 'em myself by cutting up MP3s in Audition Anyway, here's one I just might come and get. http://blog.wired.com/tableofmalcontents/2007/01/worlds_first_si.html
A keyboard synthesizer type thing? I always thought it sounded like a wind instrument of some type. A horn maybe.
I sometimes wish that I had been born 15 years earlier so that I could fully experience the '80s. But then I would want to be born 15 years earlier than that to fully experience the 70s. And 15 years earlier than that to experience the '60s. But not the '50s.
irritating ringtones aren't the problem, the fucking worthless, witless cuntage who think we want to listen to their mp3 collections at 7 in the fucking morning however... my ringtones the pixies 'debaser', although since i'm quitting my job in the morning perhaps i'll stick on 'goodbye, goodbye, we're leaving you goodbye, tah-tah-tah, tah-ta-tah' for the sake of apropos
Ahhh. I love the Final Countdown, but Carrie is my favorite song by those guys. Looking at that video- what a flashback! I miss the eighties...let me count the ways: 1. Arena rock! 2. Leather pants 3. Chicks with GREAT BIG hair!! 4. Mullets: Business in the front, good times in the back! 5. The old formula for Arena rock bands: you know you've got enough makeup on when you look in the mirror and want to fuck yourself. IT WAS ALL GOOD, BABY!!!
Yup, my phone just rings... It's one of my unfulfilled ambitions to be somewhere where the band asks for requests, and say: Cage's 4'33"
I got "Beer Is Good" by Psychostick. Got it for free. Also, Bark at the moon, and the Duke Nukem Theme. All free.
Mine cracks up people at my office all the time. It's the "Fruity Oatie Bars" jingle. Wife has the CTU phone ring from "24".
I don't need no fuckin' ringtone. I'm quite happy with "vibration only". No need to inform everyone around me that someone's trying to reach me, they'll realise soon enough if I decide to answer the phone.
Some of you were lucky enough to get an actual phone ringtone with your phone? Wow. My first two phones (one that I never used but had for 2 years, the other I used extensively for nearly 4 years) didn't have a normal phone ring tone. I tried searching for one, but couldn't find the right one. My new phone has a normal telephone ringing, but it just sounds weird... The Vib+Ring feature is also nice, because I keep the volume on my ring kinda low.
I had a Virgin Mobile service, for a time...20 ringtones and not one of them sounded like a phone ringing, which was a minor annoyance as I don't wear 'em on my belt, I keep 'em in my right hip pocket and it was a bitch to hear incoming calls...the only one I could hear was the theme from the 60s Mission: Impossible.
There are still guys carrying cell phones on the belt? Holy shit. I thought that particular fashion died out in 1997
Mine is an old non-polyphonic ringtone of the Turkish March. Making the ears of others bleed is their punishment for having "My Humps" as their ringtone.
