Messenger/Zodiuac at TK claims that an admin here has scrambled his password. Is that allowed?? Now I know you can go through password retrieval and recover it, but that seems undignified to me.

What's the scoop oh powers that be.

He's lying then. Nobody has changed his password.

To do so would be reprehensible.

I have not "scrambled" anyone's password or otherwise messed about with users. But if it's a TK regular doing the complaining, that starts his credibility at about twenty percent right there.

No... All joking aside my password was rendered invalid. I had to use the form to reset it.

I use the same password scheme for everything. There's no way I could forget it or be mistaken. I found it rather odd.

12345 isn't exactly what is considered to be a secure password.

No, I didn't seriously believe that I was somehow singled out and admin would risk their reputation in changing my pass, but there is no way a scheme I use for 99% of my Internet doings (Which I employed here previously) was suddenly incorrect.

Someone can check the logs if they want to, but either way I think this thread is done.

Well, I have checked the logs.

I guess it's just a weird server glitch, we've been getting all kinds of database issues lately. :marathon:

    Sorry for your inconvenience. :(
