New Incredible Hulk Cast...Not Who I Was Expecting... Source I like Ed Norton and think he's a good actor but...
10 more Marvel movies starting with Iron Man!? Hmm, minus Hulk & Iron Man, that's 8 more... Lessee...Fantastic Four 3, Dr. Strange, Thor, Sub-Mariner, Punisher 2... Minds blanking on the other 3.
Does anyone really want to see a Dr. Strange or Thor movie? I mean, it's not like everyone flocked to Daredevil... Once you've got Spider-Man, Hulk, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four going, you've pretty much covered the A-list Marvel characters IMO. I sure hope DC doesn't respond with movies featuring Black Canary, Dr. Fate, or Krypto the Super-Dog...
Power pack, New Mutants, Rocket Raccoon, Longshot, Silver surfer, Micronauts, The Inferior Five, Captain Marvel, Black panther, ... Iron Man would be cool.
I liked it. Mostly when we actually see Hulk do something, and every minute Nick Nolte is on screen. Flawed pic, but watchable.
I think it would be pretty nifty if they did some marvel 'verse crossover flicks. Ensemble casts rule and I like the idea of more mutants working together, like X-Men 3 (despite the character dev. and good acting) was awesome on the action factor IMO. Like in Spiderman 3, they should have had Pete go to the Fantastic Four to find out what the hell this thing on his body was like he did in the comics. Though I loathe that Venom looks like Carnage, only black in the upcoming movie. Should have been bulkier and gloss black without this fucking webbing they are putting on the costume.
I thought that Ang Lee really nailed the desert scenes - those desolate, almost alien landscapes of sand and strange rock formations that the Hulk wandered through aimlessly in the comics. I have always been struck by those images from the early Hulk comics. The movie is an example of when interesting ideas don't get translated very well to the screen. There just needed to be more comic book action, and less Freudian analysis. I still don't know what the end of the movie, with the cosmic jellyfish, was all about. The comic-book panel editing thing was an interesting attempt at something different, but I could have done without it. The Hulk's rouges gallery isn't as well known as other villians. Basically you have The Leader and The Abomination. Beyond that, you have the occassional face-off between Hulk and The Thing.
David Banner (Nolte) sucked up most of Hulk's rays, and he mutated into the jellyfish, cuz of the jellyfish DNA injections at the beginning of the movie, but he also sucked up Bruce Banner's memories, hence the flashbacks floating around (which was a TV-screen extension of the luminescent powers of the jellyfish, hence why they went with that form), and that snapped him back to humanity, and he sacrificed himself for his son by absorbing the bomb blast, and shielding Bruce, then, when he died, the rays must have gone back into Bruce, cuz he's able to turn back into Hulk at the end.
It's the Grey Hulk!! http://www.darkhorizons.com/news07/070422d.php Hmm, yeah, I could see Norton turning to Grey Hulk.
I'd like to see an Ultimates movie. Hell, I'd settle for a Samual L Jackson as Nick Fury: Agent of Shield one They already discussed casting in Ultimates Vol 1
