The band did a radio show with Eddie Trunk after the show last night in New York City. Tony, Geezer, Ronnie, and Vinnie were all there. It lasts 2 hours. Really good show. Warning: it's a huge file. Apparently the band is playing well and has gotten good response in Canada. They'll be touring the U.S. in April and May. I'll be seeing them April 22 in Phoenix. http://www.catchtherainbow.com/NYC20070330a.zip
^ With Megadeath and Machine Head? I'm really hoping I get to shoot that show when they play here on 1 May.
Saw Black Sabbath when they headlined for Ozzfest. Very cool. June 27 here Bought my tickets yesterday.
Here is a photo album someone made from the Radio City Music Hall show. Some good pictures here. http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slideshow.js...re&conn_speed=1
Just got back from the show. Man... that kicked some ASS! Dio still has the pipes to sing that stuff even though he's in his sixties, and Tony Iommi is one badass guitarist. Chuck, I tried to go over and see if I could find you but the party I was with wasn't very accommodating to that plan. EDIT: Oh yeah, here's something trivial but I thought was cool as shit: Right after I entered the venue, Randy Johnson from the Arizona Diamondbacks walked RIGHT PAST me! I thought that was awesome.
RJD is 64 years old. That's my dad's age! He must have iron pipes IMO. Rob Halford still sounds great too. So, why don't today's hard rock bands/singers sound or play as good as these guys? Don't say experience, because even in their youth they were way better than bands of today.
I ended up not going to the show. Instead I was visiting a friend at Del E. Webb hospital that night. Luckily I was able to sell the tickets to someone so it wasn't a total loss. Did the show sell out?
I hope your friend is ok! I'm sorry you missed the show, but you had your priorities straight. The show did look like it was full.
My sister-in-law once got fired from that hospital. She lied about being a felon, and they found out.
A clip someone took from the Phoenix show. About half of the song. [YT="Falling off the Edge of the World"]Crj55yS_QXw[/YT]
I just about came out of my seat when they started that one. That's my favorite Dio era Sabbath song.
