Bras are great for some things. Running, physical activities, figure enhancement. Then other times I do without: Bed, hanging out in my pj's around the house, etc.
I don't think I would go without a bra all the time. It's not comfortable if you have larger breasts.

I'm a 36C, and I've never had a problem with strapless shirts. Just wore a better-fitting strapless bra and did fine.
