.. and I have to admit that it was really good. Sorta confusing at time, but John Cusack and Samual Jackson really payed their roles to the max. Anyone else see it?
Started out well, but then I began to really dislike it in the second half. Of course, that's cause it deviated so wildly from the original story.
I saw it at the theater, and liked it. I never read the original story, because it didn't begin with "Dear Penthouse Forum..."
When I saw the previews, I was amped to see this movie, but when I finally got around to going ot the theater to see it, I was a bit dissappointed. - eh.
It, to me, was like most movies based on Steven King works. There are very good bits, and there are very bad bits.
Don;t be afraid. It's impossible for a movie to capture the sheer horror of that story, which is one of the scariest I've ever read. Hell, we don't even hear "Six, six, this is six, your friends are dead!"
Are you positive on that? I thought that line came up. I can't remember the short story too clearly, I heard it on tape at about 10 or 11 and remembered the plot and that it was one of the scariest things I'd ever heard. I'll read it when I get home. Might watch the director's cut version tonight.
10 or 11 years old? Edit: And if the line was used, I must have missed it, and it certainly wasn't used to the same effect as in the book.
