Why wasn't she arrested for assault and battery on a child?

Okay, kids can get expelled for pointing a finger and playing gun, but an adult actually, physically harming a student with a sharp wire propelled by blunt force is NOT A MALICIOUS ACT?!?!?!

    WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?! :wtf:

Who, in their right mind, could think this was a good idea? Assault in the 3rd. Book 'em, Danno.

How can anyone think this is a good idea? I mean, I saw some stupid people working for carmel-clay schools, but it's hard for me to think anyone but a child could find this funny. I mean, the sheer logistics of it alone would just scream "hey, this is a bad idea!"

Oh, but you don't want to know some of the things I'd like to do to some of my students. Good thing my imagination can't get me fired or I'd been gone a LONG time ago! I can see where someone could finally snap. Fortunately it hasn't happened to me.

Oh do shut the fuck up. I've laid off of you just 'cause I don't have time to dick with you due to Shep. But, task me and it'll be the end of you. Your best bet is to give me a very, very wide berth. :bergman:

I detect a bit of hostility in this thread.

I shall now attempt to defuse the situation.

    Relax.

Not to mention that a five year old who harmlessly brushes against a teacher's aide's boob is labelled a sexual predator :soma:

Obviously, moronic. I'm surprised no charges were filed — but I'm also unclear about what happened? Did she staple something into the kid's scalp? That's clearly assault...or did she just staple something to her hair (still wrong, but not an injury).

Comments on this PostSherlock Holmes agrees: You know, you being a female teacher and all... you shouldn't leave such an open ended comment laying around.

I didn't mean to imply I'd do anything sexual to them. I, like this teacher's aide, teach 4th grade. There have been times I've even told them, "if you were my kid you'd be picking yourself up off the floor right now."
What this person did was wrong. I'm just relating to the fact that I can see where they could snap. It doesn't justify it, but seeing some kids be obnoxious day in and day out I can 'see' where tempation to hurt a kid would cross your mind.
Come on folks... we've all had thoughts of inflicting pain on somebody who we felt needed to be taught a thing or two. Hopefully we just won't give in to those thoughts.

Jr. High teachers really need to have a lot of patience. That's a really tough level to teach. I have a few classes of freshmen (9th grade) and that can be tough, but it's hard to imagine teaching 7th or 8th grade.

Yeah, but if it were anybody else they'd be calling for their head.

This person should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and spend some time in jail.

Yeah, it was a deliberately malicious act. You aren't going to convince me otherwise. You don't take a stapler to somebody unless

    1) You are a complete retard or;

    2) you mean to hurt them.

This aide needs to spend some time at the greybar motel.
