Ah. I see what happened. Elwood's clip catches the tune at the bridge instead of from the start.

FYI, Elwood's clip comes in at about 3:24 on Summerteeth's clip.

And it is nice to see those old Laurel and Hardy bits again. :techman:

Actually, "wawaaaaeeee wahaahaa" is what tipped me off.

By the way, I don't want to take any credit away from Summerteeth. When she posted, no one had seen my post yet, as it looks like it kind of got lost in the shuffle, and the youtube links started too late in the song to get the best part (and that IS the best part. :D). The only reason I say this is because for all intents and purposes here, she found it first. Plus, I like a girl who knows her music.

Anyway, Big Band Swing music was the shit, if you'll pardon the French colloquialism. I have a huge compilation CD of the stuff. *pops in some Count Basie*

Just yesterday we had a brass quintet come to school and play for the 3rd and 4th grades. It was fun to watch them explain their instruments to the students (two trumpets, one trombone, one French horn, and one tuba). They played selections that would highlight each instrument. Lots of slides on the trombone and whaaaa whaaaaa's on the trumpets.

Simpsons has declined in quality, but I still enjoy when they cut to a musical montage, and they've always been very good at choosing which songs to use.

I think my favorite is still the one where Marge was losing her hair to stress and they had the snippet of scenes while Hair from the Cowsills played, but that could just be because it's one of my faforite songs ever.

Family Guy is pissing me off when it comes to music. They will go on and on with a musical number until the joke is long dead and buried. :(

I just remembered where I had heard that song lately, the OSU band played it during the halftime of the Texas Tech game. I'm glad you weren't there, you might have started sucking cock in the stadium! :soma:
