Are you going to take Tamar's advice, or are you going to keep going around in circles?

Edited for a more encompassing truth.

Start with going to AA. Until you do that, I don't see much point in anyone continuing to tell you the same shit over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again to fall on deaf ears.

Next time I see this topic in the RR, I'm not holding back the comments or the negreps. :bergman:

    Of course you are.

You know the truth, you don't want to face it and it is extremely depressing when the people who are supposed to enable your own destruction leave script and make you look at the cold, hard truth.

You absolutely have to listen, stop marinating in your own self-pity and make so real, significant and difficult choices so that you can finally become a whole person.

I know there is a part of you that hates me right now, and that is okay, but I care about you enough to not continue to be a part of your self-delusions and I fucking guarantee you that you cannot emotionally blackmail or guilt me with sinister hints of suicide, harming yourself or any of the other usual tricks of the perpetual victim's trade.

Just stop. Stop all this and have the courage to get the real help you need, even if you are scared of the truths you already know and are hiding from. Stop the misery, stop the self-abuse and take control of your life.

    Do it now.

    OK, radical interpretation here..
    His wife really loves him.

    Some people need victims.
They'd both be a lot happier if they could sort everything out, but it's entirely credible that she loves him, they're just in a very unhealthy co-dependant relationship.

Nothing we say or do will solve the problem: it's totally down to them.

Its probably all me. I take effexor for my head. I have been pouring myself into my work. 66 hours so far this week and I have to work tomorrow. My knees are stinging me pretty bad right now as well. The wife is at work until very late. I don't know whats right or wrong. I am just very tired. OK, no more threads started by me for a while then. Enough of my personal problems on WF. I realize its bothering folks and I need to handle these things on my own.

What bothers me is that you need help and won't get any.

Online isn't going to do it. Blaming anyone, including yourself, isn't going to do it.

You, like Ted before you, need professional assistance....and there is nothing wrong with that at all except that you won't do it.

Hey, you can do what you want to do. But, don't whine when people's feelings toward you start to turn sour when you keep repeating the same pitiful lines over and over.

Man up and get some fuckin' real help or shut up and wallow in your on self-pity. The choice is yours.

I'm human and have had my share of shameful moments. A lack of penis doesn't make it any easier, I assure you.

You really think in this day and age that anyone thinks any less of a man who uses his brain and gets the therapy he needs? Jesus, a therapist is going to judge you far less than any group of people on the internet.

You are still making excuses and until you stop and face facts you won't get any happier. And I assure you that you are not the first man...or even Wordforge man who has needed some help getting through the tough times.

Get the hell out of fantasy world and stop being a coward. When you were a child you were a victim...now you are just revelling in victimizing yourself.

And what are we supposed to do? Drop everything to try and make the guy feel better?

If it was just a one-time thing, I'd be happy to help out...but he posts about it all the time. ANd now he's putting multiple threads on it in the Red Room? Why?

He keeps posting the "woe is me" stuff, and everyone on here has piled on the sympathy and the advice, but it makes not a lick of difference. SO either he's so screwed up in the head that nothing we can do will help, in which case we should simply ignore threads like this, or he's trolling.

And now, when people won't let you marinate in self-pity, when people who give a damn point you in the direction of real healing it's time to run away.

All you want is a group of people who will feel sorry for you and continually kiss your boo-boos even if you keep ripping them open when no one is looking.

I think you know damn well you need therapy but you know a therapist is not going to let you hide from the truths you already know. And I have no doubt you already know a lot of what is wrong, why you are unhappy and why you will never really be happy with your wife...all your desperate attempts to convince yourself how lucky you are and how much you can't live without her is only fooling you.

Look, I know all about living day to day with pain and being dead tired and ill. You have a choice...you go ahead anyway and live or you sink into self-pity and depression and exsist in a living death until you die or kill yourself. I choose to live. Others here choose to live. You need to choose to live and get the help you need. It isn't weakness to need help and get it, on the contrary, it is strength.

And yes, I refuse to feel sorry for you or pity you. Right now, I am angry at you and it is because of the incredible waste. And it is that waste and refusal to deal that really makes someone less of a man.

I had Mexican last night, with fried ice cream for dessert.

I've always said that if you don't have fried ice cream on the menu, you aren't a REAL Mexican restaurant.

The GF loves the Mexican place's Vegetarian Burrito. Personally, I think that's an offense against nature's God, but it takes all kinds.

Besides, I make sure she gets plenty of protein. :tex:
