I guess I shouldn't remind you how much those old records would be worth today if you still had them.
I used them less than a year ago. I'd use them today if I had them. I have tapes that are, without a doubt, older than some of the posters here. And by that I don't mean that they are of albums that were recorded before TKO and Lethsoda were born, I mean the actual cassettes were mailed to me by Columbia House before they were born.
Really? How much? My folks gave me their entire collection plus I acquired a few on my own. I'm rich!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss vinyl records. They have a wider sound range than CD's. Some indy bands prefer vinyl over CD, because of the better sound reproduction at the high and low ends. I don't miss the popping and cracking, though.
I've got some stacks but no way to play them anymore. Then again, I've got to clean out my parents' old stuff, too. They've got some stuff from the 50's.
I still use cassettes. They stand up better than CDs in my van. I can toss 'em around and not worry about it. I just record the CDs to a cassette and put the CDs away. Had a helluva time finding a Supertuner the last time I needed one though.
I could, but the longevity of the tape in my working environment has a better chance of survival for years and not having to do it once a month. Sawdust plays hell on the optics of CD players too. I do have disc players in the Durango and the Caprice, I just run cassettes in the van. I still have a bunch of my old 8tracks and a couple of 4tracks from Pop. Nothing to play them on though. Pretty fair stack of vinyl too.
Go buy one. They do sell them. http://www.needledoctor.com/Online-...3eTa3aSaxmTe3yRbN8Kc34Kc41ynknvrkLOlQzNp65In0
I've got all kinds of original records. Off the top of my head: -Eagles -Beatles -Queen -Journey Stuff in that general area. All my records are in the top right corner.
