When Garamet wasn't being a toolshed (which in the last year has been seldom), there were times when I did like what she had to say.

Hopefully she'll start contributing to the board when and if she returns, but I wouldn't bet the bank on it.

Oh well, I don't care one way or the other. She's always been pretty civil to me.

Still, it got quite annoying the way she would make every thread about her. Like, she'd make a comment, then tell everyone how she would be "attacked" in a thread without her "enemies" reading what she had to say first.

I do notice though, when someone get a head that big, they are usually near their downfall. It happened to Eccentric, it happened to phantomofthenet, and now it's happened to her.

Why was she banned?

I have a sneaking suspicion this is the end of her. Something tells me she won't tolerate this humiliation, and will pull up stakes.

Violating board policy by posting a picture of Peter Octavian she found off Google, as well as posting his real name without his permission. The same thing she did with KIRK, only she got away with it last time.

Oh, she'll turn up somewhere. Whether it is here, or TK, or her own website, she'll undoubtedly want to get a last word in on how she was unfairly treated here solely because of her political views and how Elwood wants only pro American right wingers here. The martyrdom complex is way too strong for her to just leave silently.

I wouldn't be surprised if she served her sentence, then asked to be unbanned just to create an "I'm leaving" thread.

She'll never leave. It's some sort of point of pride with her. She believes we want to get rid of her so she will never leave.

Amusingly, most of us want no such thing.

She broke a major rule. Twice, really--once with Kirk and once with Peter. This time she pays the price.

She still posts at TBBS, so she can always retreat there to the safety of T'Bonz's ample bosom. T'Bonz will be more than happy to have her back full-time, seeing as how she's invested several years into brown-nosing her to gain a contact within the publishing world.

I can't see as how she would have much patience for TK, although missmanners seems sympathetic to her. Her own website doesn't have forums. In fact, they don't seem to have been updated for at least the past year.

Historically, all-out Lefties have never fared all that well at WF. Dendroica, Liet, actormike, henryhill.....I hesitate to include Cass, since I have always felt she was putting on an act.

But none of that has anything to do with why Margaret is now gone.

Tamar is merely stating her desire that threads devoted strictly to talking about Margaret will now disappear, since she has been banned. I share this desire. Let's see a front page without any Margaret threads at all--just threads in which people are discussing controversial issues without all of the vitriol and contempt that would inevitably enter a thread upon Margaret's decision to participate.

As for Tamar saying she doesn't want Margaret to be kicked out, that in no way contradicts her earlier statement. She can always want Margaret to remain but to change her ways. She'll wait until she turns blue in the face, of course, but Tamar can live in hope of a different resolution.

And she's right about Margaret. Margaret must win every fight, always. We've not seen the end of this, and if she does come back, she'll simply change her approach and become even more annoying than ever. The last eight years or so at TrekBBS are evidence of her ability to react and evolve whenever the rules are changed, and to bend and skirt them just enough to remain an uber-troll without actually paying a penalty for it.
