    ^^Some of the former Eastern Bloc countries still seem to have their balls attached, much to the chagrin of Western Europe.

    What would the benefit of that be for the US? All the court would want from the US is money and financial backing. Outside of that I think they would be same type of back stabbing bunch of petty thugs and dictators that make up the UN.

    Actually it does. Why should the US be expected to accept financial burdens if there isn't going to be a benefit to us? So we can take more of the same crap we get from the UN now?

    The US has a major say in controlling what the UN does. That's why it remains a member of that.

    But sometimes something ought to be done because it is morally or otherwise constructive, rather than for selfish reasons. I'm not holding out for those on the far right to understand that of course.

    You are correct sometimes something ought to be done. But the UN generally sucks at that as well.
