Not seen a post on this yet, but its all over CNN right now. She is a fruitcake for sure, the cops re-arrested her on passing bad checks tonight (uttering) and are trying to shake her tree. The must not have anything concrete on her to be going to these lengths. You gotta wonder what the real story is. This whole thing reminds me of the Susan smith thing years ago.
I think she definitely knows more than she's telling. The forensic tests on her car say something bad happened.
Those tests must not be definitive enough for proof positive. I know they found a hair that belonged to the kid that was in the trunk but it might have gotten there for any number of legitimate reason. Child seat placed back there, etc.
It does look like the cops are out for notoriety. They just had her lawyer talk on camera and he said he had talked to the cops earlier and told them he would surrender her with no fuss if they were going to arrest her on the check thing and they said that they were not going to arrest her on that and then they went ahead and did it any ways to cause the media spectacle for no reason other than to make the woman appear bad. I think her lawyer was right in that it was very unprofessional of the police.
Even if the woman is guilty dead to rights, I don't like how the cops are trying to get around the 5th amendment. If you put pressure on someone to confess then I don't think it should be allowed in court. If the woman is guilty, they need to get the evidence and prove it.
My guess is that someone she knows killed the kid, probably in anger or by accident and she is involved in the cover-up and/or body disposal.
Or the kid might have been kidnapped and the people told her not to tell the cops anything or the kid gets it. Might explain the stealing cash thing as well.
She pretty much did it. Her own parents reported a smell like a dead body coming from her car. She waited a very long time to report her "missing" child. She went to a party afterwards and fucked a police officer and got him fired when he tried to cover for her. She killed her own kid.
Frankly, I don't care. If she did it, the local courts will deal with it. I'm much more concerned with the quintuple homicide in Shelby County (in an upper-middle class suburb type place, no less). Mexican drug cartels coming to my area to make an example of some lower totem dealers that "misappropriated" about $450,000 of the cartel's money.
I figure she probably did it. If evidence can be found, she should be prosecuted in court. Otherwise, enough already. This is a tragic incident and a local news story. I said local. It shouldn't be on national news, and only is there because it was a pretty little white girl who will get ratings for the media whores. CNN keeps sinking to new lows.
Its also there in part because the police are feeding the media machine because they think it might help them.
But this quadruple homicide isn't an unsolved mystery. That's why the child mureder is more newsworthy. Drug related killings are a dime-a-dozen in Alabama. We had one right on Fort Rucker Army Base in broad daylight near my house but the dude who took off on a high speed exit get surrounded by police and offed himself...thus it wasn't newsworhy.
