My extended family is taking it bad. REALLY bad.
One family member just quit the army because of it.
Another family member claims this marks the end of days.
    Seriously, some people ARE PISSED.

We have zero representation now. We have an ultra liberal president and an ultra liberal house and senate free to impose laws and appoint judges without let or hindrance upon us now.

That's the weird place where everybody has to have a gun by law, isn't it.

I see they are abiding the law and minding their own business :bergman:

Probably because we don't riot, threaten to leave the country or any of the other petty things that liberals do. We lost. So what. You can't always get your way in life. I'm mostly looking forward to the day that the honeymoon with Obama is over. That will be when the press starts to actually ask tough questions and the public realizes that he's just an empty suit. :nuke:

Some people need to be told "tough noogies." They're going to feel foolish when the four horsemen of the apocalypse don't come riding through town square after New Year's. What do you mean "quit the army?" He resigned his commission???? He's going to need that nose that he cut off to spite his face.

Max taxation without representation. I look for not only an income tax increase but an increase on things like gas taxes and other things that will hurt rural communities, plus he will gut the military and the agency and NSA, things like that.

What I was thinking, although if it was (assuming para's being honest...) that would've been a real fly-on-the-wall moment.

    I'll sum it up:

    "Sir, I quit!"

    "What did you say?"

    "I say I quit sir."

    "You, what?!?"

"I quit sir, I can't work for an organization that has Obama as it's head."

"You got 2m to get out of here and enrolled in ASAP b/c I'm calling in the UPL time now!"

Sad....In a 22+ year career I served under five Presidents.
Presidents come and go....I'll be damned if I would let America's choice of President get to me like that.
That is statistically no doubt-about-it true. Not to drag out old news, but of the military who have made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq/Afhganistan
the biggest demographic (by population ratio) are Southerners.

Anyway, how are Southerners taking it? Considering McCain took almost every Southern state, pretty well.

Most are concerned about the Dems getting control in The House and Senate versus Obama being president.

Umm can you quit the army? I thought you had to be discharged. You can't just walk in and say "I Quit" isn't that illegal?

You can quit at any time if you're an officer.
Enlisted must wait until their current contract is up.

    So here's the deal.
This guy has been in the army since the first Gulf War.
He just came back from Iraq. His time was up.
He had the choice of whether or not to reenlist.
Today he told them 'no thanks, I ain't serving under Obama'

I'm telling you people down here are CONVINCED Obama is the antichrist, and I DON'T mean that figuratively.

    Things I've heard today...

"Biden sure is smart. He knows when they kill Obama he'll become president. That's the only reason he ran with Obama to begin with."

"If I knew it was going to turn out like this I would have picked my own cotton."

"They're going to kill him, wait and see."

If it worked like that, there wouldn't be deserters. Guess officers can give back their commission.
