We've all had the moment: you're watching a TV show, when suddenly, it clicks: the character right in front of you is played by someone on another TV series, and you never made the connection until just now. It's like a bolt from the blue. Today I had such a bolt: Senator/VP Kinsey on Stargate SG-1, is Captain Jellico from the TNG episode "Chain of Command". Share yours. And ones where they were kids who grew up don't count.
The Doctor Who episode Meglos. I watched that I don't know how many times and didn't realize that Jacqueline Hill was Barbara from the original show.
guy who played ceo guy of wolfram and heart was on casino plant of tng guy who played holtz in angel also played talia's ex-husband
And he was in Diagnosis Murder. And I'm sure I remember him in a sitcom, but I can't think which... He was in a few eps of Law & Order, too.
Hell, this happens at least once a week for us. I usually run in to check IMDB.com to see who we're watching. And I'm getting a lot of it watching 60s on DVD. I watch lots of episodes of Mission: Impossible, Wild Wild West, Hawaii 5-0, Man from UNCLE, Honey West, Hogan's Heroes, Mod Squad, The Invaders, Mannix... We see all the great character actors of the time appear on all the shows.
The principal in Growing Pains as well. Hell... I just looked him up...Sam Anderson: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0027402/ What a list!
This one will, because it's only been a few years and she ain't all grown up yet (plus a cute bikini shot from a dirty ol man is fun); I noticed it during a rerun of 'Malcolm.' Claire Bennet from Heroes was the annoying blond recurring guest chick (Jessica) from Malcolm in the Middle. But in this case it was a her.
Wierd, I just saw a rerun of Malcolm with her in it yesterday. It was the one where she makes Reese and Malcolm think the other is gay.
^She was Ally McBeal's daughter and was on Law & Order. She used to have such beautiful hair don't know what happened.
Adam Baldwin. Before I watched Firefly he was one of those, "That guys." You know, the one where he's in a bunch of shows but you dont know who he is. It wasn't until I watched Firefly that I put a name with the face.
Jessica Alba was in the remake of Flipper (the series remake, not the movie) at the age of about 14. At some point during Dark Angel it suddenly hit me that was her. She had, um - impressed me.
Dr. Drake Ramoray agrees: That'd be Max Baer. Max Gail was Wojo from Barnery Miller. Rep when I recharge!!
Yep, I've watched Adam Baldwin a couple of times on SG1, but didn't connect the dots when I saw him again on Firefly until after I watched the reruns on SciFi. But yeah, he gets around, doesn't he?
Speaking of SG1, Gen. Hammond was also the coach of the Racine Belles in A League of Their Own, when Gina Davis and Madonna were still semi-hot.
The ones that usually take me a while to get are the actors in American shows when I remember them from British or Australian shows. Recently Ryan Kwanten (Jason in True Blood) was Vinnie Patterson in Home and Away and Idris Elba (Stringer Bell in The Wire) was in Ultraviolet.
John Mahoney - never recalled seeing him in much of anything prior to Frasier, but suddenly I'm seeing him everywhere, in movies such as "In the Line of Fire" and "The American President". Apparently he does a lot of voice work for animated stuff, too.
Watched a Mission Impossible this weeked with Kigh Deigh (Wo Fat from Hawaii 5-0) and Phillip Ahn (master Po from Kung Fu) plus at least two other "I know that guy!" guest stars I can't name. Then I watched a Hawaii 5-0 with Jeff Corey (TOS: The Cloud Minders) and France Nuyen (TOS: Elaan of Troyus). btw, Seeing France in casual civvies just emphasises how stupid her costume was in her Trek appearance. She was just breathtaking in short-shorts and a Hawaiian shirt with her hair down.
Ooh, I just got one. The guy that played Long Shadow in True Blood also played the head bad guy in Apocalypto.
Malcom Mcdowell, John Rhys Davies, Mark Hamill and Biff were in w3 and 4 privater 2 had impressive cast david warner jurgen pruchnow, etc clive owen.
Adam Baldwin is the guy who shoots the alien in the lab in Independence Day. "Is that glass bulletproof?" "No sir!" *BLAM BLAM BLAM!*
