I just spent about 30-45 minutes reading the chat classics.... good god I need to get into chat more. Oh and during holiday season, fuck all happens at work. Its beautiful. Sittin here, getting paid.

I have to attend a funeral tonight, the old boss here, the guy who I took over for and who used to be my boss- finally croaked after 6 months in the hospital. Don't know exact causes, but it was a shitty way to go. Multiple strokes, less than a year after the birth of his first Grandbaby, only 58 years old. Hell of a guy, he didn't deserve it.

I dislike Thanksgiving. Easily my least favorite holiday of the year. And I'm home for it this year. :bailey:

Why can't we just do Halloween twice?

How can you dislike Thanksgiving? What did it ever do to you? I have to cook for 12 people this year, and I get excited every time I look at my shopping list. :D

    What do you suggest?

Me, I'm pretty much indifferent to Thanksgiving, but I love Christmastime.

IIRC, Marso and his wife aren't getting along all that well. I'm guessing that's part of the reason Thanksgiving sucks.

Anywho, the last word is MINE.

Actually, my dislike of TG goes back even farther than that, but present circumstances don't help either.

Part of it is the meal: It takes half a day to prepare, about ten minutes to eat, and then another half day to clean up from. And with the Lions playing, the football game is always boring.

Thanksgiving 1984 was one of the best ever. I was staying with a high school buddy of mine, who lived alone with his mom. He hated Turkey, and since it was usually just the two of them they normally ordered pizza.

So we ordered pizza for T-giving and played D&D all day. Best T-giving evah!!

    Sounds awesome.

I wish my parents would just take us to a buffet like we used to. But this year, we've got a couple of friends coming over.

The good news is, I get green bean casserole. :D

Also, the last word is mine again.

Run through it for about an hour. Should get through it 2 - 3 times in that hour, and you'll feel better.
