Is it just me? Am I the only one these things happens to?

i.e.: I'll watch a random episode of, say, Wild Wild West on DVD saturday afternoon. Barbara Luna will be a guest star. Sunday afternoon I'll randomly pick a DVD of Mission Impossible, and there she'll be again, totally at random. And maybe William Windom will have been in the Mission: Impossible, and when I watch a Man From UNCLE later that day, there HE'LL be! Little things like that. I know guest actors made the rounds of those shows during that time, but the odds of seeing the same one twice at random like that seem long.

    So...

Last night we watched a Mannix epsiode from 1967. It opened with Mannix in a lock picking demonstration, with a demo door standing in an office. During the episode, to find a missing girl, he posed as an insurance agent telling people she had some money coming. Today, maybe 16 hours later, I watched a Hawaii 5-0 from 1971. It opened with Che Fong demonstrating picking various locks to the 5-0 staff with little model wooden doors in McGarret's office. The guest star was Monty Markham, who played a private eye looking for a girl by posing as an insurance agent telling people she had some money coming.

    :wtf:

Maybe I'm the only one who notices these things. 'Cause, like I said, it's pointless synchronicity. Most people's brains might not be tuned in to this ridiculous frequency.

I feel your pain. This fits perfectly into my theory of how the universe operates. The synchronicity only seems pointless because the universal
"plan" isn't concerned with practicality, profit or achievement per se.
Those little "fall between the cracks" details are all part of the big beautiful spider web of the spirit of the universe.

We watched an episode of Buffy, and when I came into my computer room, the screen saver (slide show of my hot babes folder) was showing a random Sarah Michelle Geller picture!

Obama has a secretary named "Lincoln" and Lincoln had a secretary named "Obama".

Nope, happens to me all the time.
Another thing is, I'll be watching something with someone Quite Famous, and then the next time I watch a video or DVD from years ago, it turns out that a very young QF had a small part in it, and I hadn't noticed before...

    It keeps on rolling:

Yesterday I watched a 3rd season Mission Impossible (1969) featuring Jack Donner (Garamet's sweetie) as an Eastern European army officer with an outrageous accent.

Today I watched a 1st season Man from UNCLE (1965) featuring Jack Donner as a Middle Eastern diplomat with an outrageous accent.

Monday I watched a 3rd season Wild Wild West (1968) where our hero was thrown into a circular underground arena to fight a guy in a bad gorilla suit.

Today in that Man from UNCLE ep, our heroes were tossed into a circular underground arena to fight a guy in a bad bear suit.

I'm watching these eps totally at random.

I wish I could use this power to, like, win a lottery or something.

I suspect Jack Donner is pleased. ;)

Seriously, I've heard modern recognition counts for an awful lot...
