Friday morning a Miss California Pageant official confirmed previous reports that controversial contestant Carrie Prejean received free breast implants, organized and paid for by the pageant, weeks before the Miss USA competition. In an interview on "The Early Show," Keith Lewis, the co-Director of the Miss California Pageant, admitted to helping Prejean get the boob job. "We assisted when Carrie came to us and voiced the interest in having the procedure done," Lewis told "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez. It seems kind of unfair to give one contestant an advantage like that...unless they would do this for any of them that asked. Although, it does seem kind of an odd thing to do.
Personally, I find this story very hard to believe. Miss California got a very bad boob job. Before the boob job she has breasts that hung like breasts and provided attractive cleavage; after she has a 4 inch valley between her breast and two rocks that point out. Surely a pageant committee wouldn't pay for implants that hugely suck.

It appears to me this is the CA committee trying to boost their state winner to a better position in the national competition. I don't know whether other stats would have done so or if this is considered bad form or against the national rules. In any case, given that not all of us watch pageants, it seems this thread is fail unless Baba produces before and after pics.
You think stuff like this would be coming out and be such a big topic of discussion on the news shows if she had parroted the PC line on gay marriage and told everyone at the pageant what they wanted to hear?
Not really... it's the CALIFORNIA pageant that paid for THEIR winner in order to improve her odds for the USA pageant. If it had been the USA pageant paying for her, you'd be right.
Did anyone read the linked article? It said stuff like "there are other ways to enhance the bustline. Chicken cutlets and lots of tape, for example..." Chicken cutlets? Really!?!?
Yesterday, the Miss California Organization disclosed that it paid for Carrie Prejean's breast implants before she appeared in the Miss USA pageant two weeks ago. “It was something that we all spoke about together,” Shanna Moakler, Co-Executive Director of the Miss California Organization told Access Hollywood. “It was an option and she wanted it. And we supported that decision.” Prejean has become something of a media sensation ever since she denounced gay marriage during the Miss USA telecast. Though she lost the crown (and blames this loss on the fact that she had to answer a question about gay marriage in the first place), things aren't all bad: Prejean is currently starring in an ad slamming same-sex unions and also reportedly dating Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps.
