Hi everyone. I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever had any annoying phone calls from credit card companies harrassing you on the phone for something before? I just had one a minute ago and the conversation went like this: Me: Hello? harrasser: Hello is (insert name here) around? Me: I'm sorry she's unavailable right now may I take a message? harrasser: You said she was unavailable but is in the home at the moment? Me: No, she's not around period. Harrasser: well it's very important that I talk to her ASAP about such and such. Me: I'll go see if she's available. Harrasser: thank you. (Pause)................................................ Me: Ma'am, she's not here period. Sorry. Harrasser: hangs up the phone on me! Next time, I'll tell her that the person has been hospitalized or some crazy thing and will send you such and such ASAP. People have no consideration anymore. This lady was kinda rude to me on the phone and I don't appreciate people like that. Has anyone had any similar experience with this? And if so, what have you done or said to make them shut up and not call back?
I still get phone calls almost daily at my office looking for someone handling the final affairs of my deceased former boss. My response is always the same, hopefully they will get it at some point.
I hated those phone calls about car warranties as well. I got on the do not call list last week and so far, those ignotarded bastards haven't called me back.
FUNNIEST annoying call ever: dude with Indian accent calls and I tell him "I'm busy...my dinner is burning...call back at another time." So I hang up the wall phone, walk about 15 feet to the stove, and the phone rings.....it was the same dude! I guess technically it was "another time" so I can't fault him, I guess.
