My kids have a Wii, but it won't read the disks they have (Wii Sports and another the name of which I can't recall right now). Anybody have any experience with this? The only consoles I've owned (PS1 and PS2) never had problems like this.
All I got is make sure your Wii looks like this if it is standing up with the power button on the top left. And try putting the disk in the opposite way if you haven't already. The person who did answering questions like this for a living is asleep right now, but I remember him telling me these were some of the more common fixes. From Nintendo's website: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/gameDiscs.jsp#all_games
OH says if it's happening to all of your games and it's been within a year of your purchase, Nintendo will repair it for free. If it is only happening to those two games and the rest work, check for damage to the disks.
Sorry. I forgot about this thread (and the problem with the Wii)! With graduations and parties and such, it completely slipped my mind. I plan to check it out and try some of these suggestions next week. I'll let you know.
