Marso, this anime's for you! Awesome aerial action and bizarre-yet-believable fictional fighter planes with a late-WWII flavor (the primary good-guy fighters are based on the Japanese Shinden, the "enemy ace" bad guy lookes like a mutated Sea Fury). Plus an interesting mystery to watch unfold: The pilots are all teenagers who don't seem to ever age, have no long-term memory, and have no idea at all what the war is about. Almost as if they were created for this purpose only. They start to puzzle that out between sorties. The dogfights are some of the most awesome CGI ever (and of course there aren't enough of them).
