We lost a part of ourselves today. The deep, thought-provoking, spirited debate brought to our little corner of the Internet by ernest, grabber, DJ Black and Lloyd Wabbit was silenced today with their departure .

Let's take a moment to remember their contributions to the 'forge.

Deep moments that will surely be missed.

The road ahead will be difficult, but I know Wordforge will press on.

So, were they your duals, Sokar? They and a number of others appeared, made the standard 50 short, non-controversial posts, and then stopped. That is about as blatant as dual-creation can be, and is the same thing as putting up a sign that says, "This is just a dual that somebody set up for rep purposes."

Oh, and why is the Administration suddenly banning duals and interfering in rep war now?

Duals have forever been for our amusement. Lanzman was not amused.

They were unamusing in that their sole purpose was to rep each other to protect themselves when the inevitably went on a rep rampage of their own.

Which apparently they did.

Also, it seems they missed, among others presumably, [user]beetle[/user].

Also, someone went to a great deal of trouble to disguise that they were duals, at least technically - each one on a different proxy server. But boy were they unsubtle once they were on board.

I am quite sure these were faith_in_george duals. He's done this sort of thing before and he seems to have a hate-on for Sokar.

As a troll, it ain't half bad, but for the amount of work you need to put in to pull something like this off, the payoff isn't that great. His trolling of Yahoo! boards is pretty good stuff though.
