Anybody remember when he was considered cool? Bears, Superbowl Shuffle? Anybody realize he has a second Super Bowl ring? He was Brett Favre's backup in 1996.
Eh, Jim McMahon was passe as of January 27, 1986. I'm pretty sure Ed McMahon was dead by then too, and we've been dealing with an animatronic sidekick/spokesman ever since.
I was going to make a joke about him probably getting dialysis, but apparently, God already made it. BTW, does anybody remember the 'Refrigerator Rap?' "He's the Refrigerator and he's bad as hell/The biggest man in the NFL" I think there was also a line in it about him kicking and extra point, but I may have just been stoned.
I'm pretty sure Bears fans know full well that the great 80s Bears teams were based on defense and rushing and that McMahon was a thoroughly average glass jawed replaceable cog who was at his best handing the ball to Walter Payton.
as a native of that major metropolitan city in the midwest. those were heady times indeed. But I just cant help but think the Bears couldve added a few more rings if Ditka and Ryan couldve gotten along. I know the players have to play the game but still sometimes they need the proper motivation, as Vince Tobin and Bear coches after Ditka proved. Remember what an idiot Dave Wannstadt was. The NFL's answer to Terry Bevington
The human body wasn't made to get that big. Something was bound to go wrong. Still, some good football memories there.
So! Who would win da Indianapolis 500? Mario Andretti? Or a schoolbus full of.... Daaaaaa Bears! Well it depends! Who's drivin' da bus? Ditka? Yeah! Ditka! Well then, I think I gotta go with.... Daaaaaaa Bears!
