Don't get me wrong, I endorse and approve her nuttiness...and that she reminded any conservatives considering blowing off the census that the fines for doing so have never been enforced was a nice touch.

That look is in reaction to the fact she is stating (and it is a fact) not a sign of skepticism.

And by the way, Beck is more on the money than any other talker out there except perhaps Lou Dobbs (depending on the subject)

Like all talkers, he says some stuff i don't agree with - particularly on "moral issues" but still, he's far FAR from "nutty" on most subjects.

BUT, that said, I can certainly see where a leftist would think he is.

    So...you got nothin'?

    S'what I figured.

It is entirely credible to question the logic of not filling it out AT ALL. that would be unwise.

There is no reason though to not simply give then the head count and nothing else. Government data collection used to alocate other things beyond representation will go right along swimingly based on the long forms that go out regularly all the time. You cause no significant impact if you don't provide other data on next years constitutional census.

Furthermore, statistical models can easily be employed to extrapolate demographic data from the 80% or more who do respond in order to compile pretty accurate statistical tables.

Give them the head count? By all means. Give them nothing else - you do not hurt yourself in any way.

    (assuming you are not fined)

So, again - show me the "nutty" in that clip - if you can.

Bottom line: if you believe in our Republican system of government (as it's laid out in the Constitution, anyway), then a census/head count is necessary in order to determine districting for representation. The Constitution even calls for it in Article I, Section II.

However, that is the limit of my Constitutional duty as a citizen with regards to the census. They'll get that headcount, and that's ALL they'll get.

the thought just occured to me.... Bachman is spazzing out about filling out a census form, yet she was all for the warrantless wire-tapping of phones on American citizens during the previous administration. I'm sure that in barking moonbat world, this makes perfect sense but out here in the real world it just shows how full of shit you are.

I'm just saying.... That's one glaring inconsistency there.

    Obama eats babies.

If you're going to make something up, at least make it good. And make it something that hasn't already been refuted more times than I can count.

Couldn't she at least have waited to criticize until after Obama made warrantless wire-tapping OK for everyone?

Michelle Bachmann and Sean Hannity, re: the long form census:

The long form census, as linked to on Bachmann's website:
    :rotfl:

The question's there, and it's been asked continuously since 1890! Bachmann's the kind of crazy that makes her very, very stupid.

Oh, now that's just not true. Obama doesn't eat babies. Obama sells the babies to military contractors' R&D divisions. Then he eats the contractors.

what? The fact that Bush conducted warrantless wiretaps on Americans or that Bachman supportted it? Both are true and it totally contradicts Bachman's stance RE the Census.

    Another stupid retard.

What's hilarious is that they are too stupid to be mad at Obama about it since he to is doing the exact same thing Bush did in regards to the wiretaps.

You know the 4th Amendment doesn't care if you're a citizen or not, and since the government only knows who or what they were listening to, we might never know who they had bugged?

How did Obama get into this?

This thread is about the hypocrisy of a crazy bitch. If Obama continues with the warrantless wiretaps, then that certainly something that I would not support.

Now who's going to call out the barking moonbat?

Um, because you brought it up.

This is my problem with trying to debate with what passes for the Left these days. It is a lot like clubbing a baby seal. A retarded, paraplegic baby seal that has been chained to a stake.

Haven't you watched any courtroom dramas? You know the big scene where the evil prosecutor opens a line of questioning that allows the good defense attorney to trap up the REAL criminal? You opened the door by alleging that Bachman supported illegal wiretaps. Now you're fucking crying because people are pointing out that your boy, Obama (praise His name) supports those same wiretaps?

:bang: Go play with a plastic laundry bag.

[Oh, and upon again reviewing the post in question, I'm reminded of your other idiocy--alleging the taps were on "American citizens"--to which your posse's spin control consisted of "So!? So what if it wasn't actually on Americans but on foreign nationals on American soil?! Why are you always splitting hairs!? Besides, the Constitution protects foreigners' rights to plan bombings from within the United States!"]

    You dumbass!

the post you referenced made no mention of Obama!

For the record, this thread is about how awesome Bachman is for rallying her constituency to fill out the least bit of info possible on the 2010 census. I point out her hypocrisy for spearheading this yet voting for and vocally supportting warrantless wiretaps conducted by the NSA. The fact if the matter is that the NSA doesn't care if it's an American citizen or a foreign national if it came to defending the country from attack and you know it. I don't know how you can definitively state that no citizens were wire tapped because this practice was so far undercover and never investigated to my knowledge... but the fact of the mattter is, it's irrelevant to this conversation. Bachman supports warrantless wiretaps on American citizens (the bill she supported made no distinction between foreign nationals and citizens), yet is concerned about privacy with regards to the census. Ergo, she's a hypocritical, crazy bitch and you fell for it.

As far as my support for Obama goes, I have no problem with calling him on his shit either.... as a matter of fact, there is a growing number of liberals that are more than displeased with him because of one thing or another and they've been pretty vocal about it.... but you and your crew keep spouting that "holy saviour" shit and you all look like fools. I suspect it's a bit of a psychological defense mechanism because you guys followed Bush right off a fucking cliff to political no man's land.... and you still can't admit you made a mistake. We are not you.

I think Obama's doing a great job overall. I have some concerns with regards to the continuation of failed strategies with N. Korea and the spending for healthcare reform, but I'm willing to see where it goes. Certainly not further than Bush's Medicare part D. You say Obama is continuing NSA warrantless wiretaps, well I hadn't heard that. I'd want to see that corroboratted by an unbiased news source... Not Fox News.
