My google-fu is weak today. I'm looking for a plug like the ones people use to control their lights on a timer so that it looks like they're home when they're not. Except I want to use a thermometer instead of a timer. I can't find one anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions?
Is this to run your air conditioning? Why not use the thermostat that is part of the system? Or do you have an old window unit that doesnt have a thermostat? If the latter I think you are SOL and would have to buy a new window unit with the thermostat built into it.
You want your home's temperature to be dictated by a reading taken near the floor, where power outlets are typically found?
Yeah, a well hidden power strip that goes up the wall and has that thermostate attached would put it at the right height.
It's just for an old crappy AC unit that's cooling one room, and really it's just to prevent me leaving it on non-stop by mistake. It doesn't need to be terribly precise. Thanks, guys.
