    Man.

Stuff like that is depressing. Since the fuck when did the government have the know-how when it came to telling you how to raise your kids?

You'd think any Government would have more productive things to apply themselves to than damned near literally wiping the asses of their citizens for them because they're too incompetent to manage it themselves.

You cant cure failure. Deal with it, move on and spend the money elsewhere to help more people. Build a fucking school or something.

Besides, its a bandaid fix at best, you're humiliating people, do they think for one second that these people will keep this curriculum indefinitely or do they plan on monitoring them for the rest of their lives.

Talk about creating a nanny state.

Great news. Do you know how many jobs this created?

Well, government jobs, but they're just as good, right?

Of course it is. Just think how much more tax revenue we could bring in by adding all these jobs!

I think we found where Skynet is going to be hiding.

Are the people working for the machines going to kill troublesome families like they did in the Sarah Conner Chronicles?

Its the British teeth...they can't help it....fucking inconsiderate Americans keep poaching all of their qualified dentists....they have to make do with sheep farmers with pliers....its a serious plight against a first world nation in the modern age....

Perhaps the UK would have more dentists if it got rid of... *gasp* socialized medicine and let the free market do it's magic.

Does socialized medicine in the UK cover dental?

    It doesn't in Canada.

    Lies.

Canadian does cover dental. It is under the Canada Health Act. It doesn't cover cleaning, as much as 14th Doctor needs it.

If his teeth were rotting out like the typical Brit, then it's covered. If he needs teeth bleaching because his teeth are so brown, or if he needs cosmetic surgery to improve his chances with the ladies, that is not covered.

"The bottom line is that there are not enough dentists working in the NHS and that is because the government have failed to make it attractive enough." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7189448.stm

I guess so although the article does point out there are private doctors.

British medicine covers pretty much fucking well everything.

I also believe that they have one of the premier medical services in the world. The NHS is absolutely unbelievable. Socialized medicine works, even in different degrees, the fact of the matter is that theres 2 parts required to every equation, in this instance its the medical system and the society in which its being implemented. They have to mesh otherwise neither works and its a clusterfuck that rivals the gun registry fiasco.

Anyhow, thats a tad OT in this particular thread...

Britain has a habit of being an overbearing bitch, its in their nature, and this doesnt surprise me one bit. They are a society of individuals who collectively believe that each and every one of them knows absolutely everything better than the other, hence CCTV in general and a lot of attitudes regarding most social matters.

Not enough in "some areas" and you have to pay if it's silly shit, it's always been that way you get free checks and work on your teeth, not whitening as far as i know and there have always been private dentists on top of that.

The NHS isn't perfect but it a damn sight better then anyone else has.

 "This government" could just as well be "that government."
No government can alter problems that can only be fixed from within the family. No matter who is in charge of the country, there will always be messed up families. There are many reasons, but whether your family is rich, poor, liberal, conservative, free or communist - the family will always exist long after the government has changed paths.

Let the government run the nation as a whole while you run your family!
