At least with 14th Doctor, I believe his justification over Roman Polanski is only isolated to just this one rich sicko. Agreed. I never even justified his raping anyone, I just said it was a waste of time pursuing the case after so long, especially considering the victims objections. I certainly never condoned the actual rape itself. It's not too late, he still posts in TNZ as Data Holmes.
