Offscreen Characters

Watching Big Bang Theory, listening to Walowitz's mom nag off camera, and it begs a list. Offscreen characters, never seen, possibly heard. Aside from Vera on Cheers and Frasier's Maris, who am I missing?

Various adults (parents, teachers) in the Peanuts comic strip and television specials.

Carlton the Doorman from Rhoda.

Peggy's mom from Married with Children

Chef from Enterprise.

Mrs. Columbo from Columbo. And that one almost got her own series. We never heard or saw her.

Robin Masters from magnum p i, almost qualifies, but the end-reveal of the secret was that he was actually Higgins, IIRC, so that doesn't quite work.


I'll need some backup on this one: I Dream of Jeannie, we saw her sister and she was a separate person than Jeannie, IIRC, and she just never got her own name, right?

Jeannie's sister was also named Jeannie.

Captain Boday on DS9.

He was the one with the transparent skull.

Same guy.

Colonel Potter's wife on MASH. Her name was Mildred.

Same with Hawkeye's father. Many of the other characters' family members were seen in home movies at various times (BJ's wife, Radar's mom and family, Henry's wife), but I don't recall ever seeing Hawkeye's dad.

IIRC, though, I think there was a photo of Mildred on COL Potter's desk.

Not exactly. "Bo Snerdley" is a pseudonym for long time staffer James Golden, who has been with Limbaugh's show since start up.

Probably just an enlisted man. Not all that shitty at all, since the computer controls the turbolifts and runs diagnostics on them.

All he has to do is run a diagnostic every once in a while and service them when they need it.
