And soon pregnancies will abound! But due to the radiation from the nuke boats and the sea life around them, comics tell us the kids will have webbed hands and feet and wear orange and green.

In other news, the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists advanced the Doomsday Clock 1 minute closer to midnight. One scientist who requested to remain anonymous said, "We're greatly concerned about the effects of the menstrual cycle on any military personnel with access to nuclear weapons."

Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow.

This will not end well and of course will cost a small fortune to upgrade all the existing subs as currently they cannot support women. More deficit. :techman:

Lets hope they start with female officers and don't just do 1 woman to a sub. Also, would it be unreasonable to have females serving on a submarine to receive a birth control implant?

I'm glad you brought that up. My former boss was ex-navy and she said it was easier to find a gay sailor on a ship than it was to find the mess hall. She was like "they may have 'don't ask, don't tell' but there was whole lot of "just doing" on that ship." I asked her about lesbians and she's like, "they're army." Then she got promoted to another facility... :whaa: But alas, all good things...

Wow. How's that Corpsman going to provide all the pre-natal care when a woman spends the first five or six months of her pregnancy underwater? :wtf:

Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't post this:

Yes, they should totally take video feeds and sell them so the Navy can at least make some money out of this. :fap:

Actually, IIRC, the U.S. Navy does not allow tragic or depressing news to be transmitted to a submarine crewman while they are on deployment.

    No deployments last that long.

IIRC, the longest a U.S. nuclear submarine is completely out of routine communication with their base (that is, the crew not allowed to send or receive regular messages) is 60-90 days.

That sucks. In The Army we knew everything from home almost daily, sometimes hourly.
I found out we were rolling into Iraq (March 2003 version) from my wife long before our commander found out. He called shenanigans until all the other folks heard the same info from their families + friends.

There are currently no separate sleeping, bathing, or potty facilities available for women on submarines.

Those would need to be retrofitted.

Every surface ship that accommodates women had to undergo the same style of retrofit.

Again, Dayton illustrates why he is never to be considered an expert on anything involving life in the military.

    Submarines get mail, ya know.

As long as we're PC, the budget deficit doesn't matter.
