Some simple questions for Shepherdess:

1. Are you and your wife still living together?

2. If you are, are the two of you still sexually active?

3. If the answer to #2 is "no", then what's the reason? Is it because you no longer desire sex with women, or is it because your wife is so repulsed by your behavior and traumatized by your betrayal of the relationship that she can't stomach the thought of your phallus in her vajayjay without vomiting?

4. If the answer to #2 is "yes," then how in god's name is wifey rationalizing this to herself?

4. Where are your kids and how have they reacted to Daddy's blossoming? Do you wear women's clothes around them? Personally, I hope you had the good sense to send the kids to live with relatives rather than expose them to this dysfunction.

Gotcha. I don't have a problem with what Nova/Shep does as long as he drops the holier than thou attitude he's had over the years. But he needn't play the "family values" game when he seems to be so inconsiderate of his family's needs for traditional nuclear family values.

That was my thought as well. To see Nick descending into Flashlight and polarslam territory disappointed me greatly. I disagree with many of his views, but I nevertheless thought of him as much better than a mere troll, out to try to humiliate other posters simply for the fun of trying to seem better than them.

I am guessing that tolerance is not as widespread among the politically left-leaning as is often claimed, unfortunately.

And, if you want the best desert ever, try the following. Believe it or not, it's a recipe my mother started using for Passover--for the goyim among you, Passover is notorious for terrible deserts--but still, it's the best desert ever. I mean that, in all seriousness:

Obviously you can use butter instead of margarine unless kashrut concerns affect a meat meal, but even using margarine, this is the best desert ever. I've been trying for years to get my mother to make this sometime other than passover, and I just gave up and had her give me the recipe so I could make it on my own. On the cooking time, if it's not quite done, keep giving it another 15 minutes until your finger comes away clean. It can take 2 hours or more depending on weather conditions and the exact size of the eggs used. If you don't have the right kind of pan, buy one. It's worth it.

I have more tolerance in my pinky than most people do in their entire body.

All that said, I still think that "Family values" are a legitimate concern, I simply have a more enlightened view of how that applies. For one obvious example, despite Flashy's pathetic troll, I think that "family values" are reflected in my situation in that my 17 year old son accepts my condition as legitimate and not a cause for derision or rejection and recognizes that when someone (such as my father) rejects me it reflects poorly not on me but on them.

Actually, I haven't "demanded" anything from anyone. I haven't been offended or expressed any expectation. I have good friends here who think and said that I was making a big mistake and they think I'm wrong and my interaction with them is no less friendly and respectful.

I fully understood from the day I brought it up that many would not approve - was frankly shocked to be as well received as I was - and have no expectations otherwise.
