Yeah, maybe about season 5 of SG1. I like Anderson, but he seemed to lose interest in the latter half of SG1, and never really got it back. I'm not sure why he kept showing up for Atlantis and Universe, or the DVD movies, for that matter. Ben Browder had plenty of interest, but they only brought him in when SG1 was already circling the drain. Hell, Corin Nemec kinda got screwed, too.
Someone should develop a good genre series for Browder. I say genre because I'd hate to see him reduced to playing a lawyer, a doctor, or a cop.
I always thought he'd be great on a new Star Trek series, if the character were written right. They made lots of ST references on Farscape.
I guess the man's gotta work. They keep jerking everbody around with the straight-to-DVD SG1 and Atlantis movies. On again, off again, now they've got the funding, now they don't.
That's a damned waste, but at least he's working, as UA said. Ben's a brilliant actor. I just wish he'd get some work with decent writing (sci-fi or not); his energy can carry a show so much higher. It's such a shame that he's so underutilised by the industry.
RDA did pretty standard work (for him) tonight, I enjoyed it. Plus, you get a Michael shanks bit part to boot. there's another guy who's being under-used in Hollywood. After his turn as Hawkman on Smallville, I can definitely see him as something other than science nerd.
Compared to last week's piece of crap this was actually fairly entertaining. Not super-amazing but fairly entertaining.
He did a pretty mean villain on Burn Notice as well and Sanctuary. Even had cute line to Magus (Magnus?) about liking her hair.
Of course he had to come crawling back, with the large heavy sacks of money they threw at him he couldn't stand up straight!
