See, in their personal lives, Dems realize that raising taxes means buyers and owners go somewhere else where taxes are lower. In matters of public policy, it's still the same, old shit.

But the rules and liberal policies are for the other guy. Didn't you know that. Did having a tax dodging secretary of treasury not tip you off?

I'm so fucking tired of Dumbocrats and Repubitards. I'd suggest putting them all on a rocket and shooting them into the sun, but that would cost money. :jayzus:

Oh, I'm sure they have. It just seems ironic that one of the most liberal, ship-jobs-out-of-the-country, tax-and-spend Dumbocrats in Congress bought a yacht from New Zealand and stores it in a neighboring state because of high taxes in the US and his home state.

The Democrats destroyed American shipyards when they passed a luxury tax on new boats.
Why pay for a new boat with the tax when one could go overseas and not pay it? Of course everyone went overseas for the boats and Americans lost jobs and manufacturers went out of business.

The tax was finally gotten rid of in the mid-90's but now states are starting to think about bringing it back.

There are always consequences to raising taxes. Raise a tax and people stop buying from American companies and who suffers? Not the rich guy. He still gets his boat, just from Europe. The ones who suffer are the workers who build the damn things.

The cost would be a fraction of anyone of Obama's stimulus plans. Cheaper by far in the long and short run.

I say don't let the rocket hit their asses on the way up. Or let it hit them, who gives a shit.

The two root points of their claim were:
    1) That he was dishonest--he lied about his military record--and
    2) He wasn't patriotic. :marathon:

    1) This has nothing to do with his military record.

    2) Isn't going for the best cost/quality on your purchases the American way? :enty: Saying he should buy local and get an inferior or more expensive product sounds downright communist to me you pinko bastard. :bailey:

Is it just WF, or is American political discourse really this fucked up black-and-white blame game?

It's not just WF. American politics is all about digging up (or making up) as much dirt as possible about the others, in order to win elections. We have long since passed the point where either party believes in themselves anymore, or expects the voters to believe in them, so instead of the "Here's why we are the best" approach to winning elections, both use the "Vote for us because the alternative is even worse" approach.

I think the greatest lost moment in the last couple of years was when Ben Nelson sold out for Healthcare. HE went home and was booed out of some local pizza joint he and his wife went to. He claimed he left because it was crowded and never heard people yell that he was a whore.

What should have happened was the crown grabbed him, drug him and his wife outside, stripped them both naked, covered them both in hot tar and feathers, and then poured boiling hot tea down their throats and then everyone just went home.

I guarantee the members of the House would have reconsidered how they were going to vote after that kind of a demonstration. All the promises from Obama of a nice cushy administration job after they get fired would mean squat if they had to deal with being tarred and feathered back home and knew the crowds just might do it.

We've become too civilized for our own good.

My point is that our fine Vice President pointed out that it is our Patriotic duty to pay Taxes. I guess either Kerry didn't get the memo when he tried to duck out of doing his patriotic duty. Or he isn't patriotic. :marathon:
