We just got a new addition to our kitty klan. She's seven weeks old and weighs exactly one pound (all muscle). Would show pics, but my daughter doesn't label her digital pics, and I'm not sorting through dozens of boring teenage pics to find one. Regardless, I have to give her spme nasty pink medicine the vet gave us, but we want to keep her healthy. Amazing how a kitten who can barely walk steadily can use mad jumping skillz to jump from furniture to furniture, but that's cat behavior I guess!
From the cat we learn strength and tenacity, grasshopper Congratulations on the kitten, I hope its got a friendly attitude and wants to talk and learn.
It's already interacting with our other cats quite well. It's learning how do amusing things from our 1 year old cat, so that's a plus.
How is it interacting with you? Cats just think of you as another bigger cat and you can teach it stuff especially when young if its the kind that wants your attention. I hope it is.
Yes, we pay attention to the kitten 24/7 but it's also interacting/playing with our other cats more every day. It takes a few days for the old cats to accept new cats in most cases.
Here's about the only pic that wasn't out of focus - my daughter took them, and the kitten was moving a lot.
I see a lot of people with those grey cats. Is that what they call a Tabby? I thought Tabbies were orange, like the Garfield cat?
Those grey guys with the black stripes I just call 'grey tiger stripe cats.' They are my favorites second only to solid black cats. Calico cats come in a close third. But I love all teh kittehs. More than the average person, I must say.
Notice the letter M between the eyes? A lot of cats of her breed (forget what it's called) have this. Also I think it's a breed developed in Ohio, because beneath her tail is the letter O. Or maybe she's an Obama supporter! Anyway, she is growing fast! She is chasing the other cats around and jumping + climbing further all the time. Then just like a child, she falls dead asleep and takes a nap.
