For a position on Wrodforge's staff. I have many years of experience moderating and administering diverse forums, including most recently a two year stint as moderator of Troll Kingdom's Badlands, Grasslands, and Tea Room, all to great effect. My record will show you that I am highly efficant at handling sensitive issues of moderation, and I hope to bring these skills to serve the greater good of Wrodforge.
Why would anyone want to be a mod on an internet message board? There's no pay and entirely too much work. I can't even be arsed to read every post in every thread and I come here because I want to, not because I have to.
I agree. Plus, a lot of people here seem to get WAY more pissy about crap that I consider insignificant. Who'd wanna put up with that kinda bull$**t?
When I was moderator I cleverly negotiated a commission deal for compensation. Then Elwood put me in charge of The Embassy.
We take the whole "those who are desirous of power are those least fit to wield it" thing pretty seriously. You know how I got my moderator (then later admin) position? "I'll do it, but only if nobody else will."
There are a great many people at WF who have been asked and refused positions on staff multiple times as well. And you really, really need thick skin..

I don't even have anything to do officially with this board, but let me just say for the staff: DON'T CALL US, WE'LL CALL YOU. (that's corporate for "thanks, but fuck off")
Skin doesn't want the power. Sincerely, this isn't even a 'refusing the power to get the power' kind of a deal -- Skin ain't interested. Don't ask Skin to do it, 'cause Skin will approach it with all the enthusiasm of a napping Siamese cat. Take that mod-ism somewhere else. Begone with it!
Well, that's all well and good, but that wasn't reverse psychology. Skin's way too busy to ride herd on this pack o' jackals.
I admin my own forum, admin another site, and have recently taken on moderating responsibilities at one more. From my own experience, I would say it's really not that glamorous; that for the most part forums kinda run on its own; and really, other times it can be a lot of work also -- my own site that is, as I am always uploading new skins, new mods, and newest version of the software etc. Some may think it's all Klieg lights, but not quite.
