I've been listening to lefties and their paranoid ravings about right winger's and violence backed up by the most tenuous evidence drawn from the fringiest of the fringe since the 2008 election. And here are these left wing yahoos going on about the need for revolution right there on MSNBC.
Let 'em get uppity. I'll start wearing the .357. I won't even need to shoot anyone. Just pimp-slap someone with that thing and that'll take the taste for violent revolution out of 'em pretty quick. Or at least replace it with the taste of their own blood/teeth.
Here's a contrast. Glenn Beck was speaing of this on his radio show today and he said that in a morning production meeting, attended by a Fox VP, he asked "What would happen if I mentioned - or even allowed a guest to mention - the need for potentially violent revolution?" The VP replied "you wouldn't make it past the next commercial break"
Uh, no. Reading comprehension please. They are not calling for revolution. They are very clearly predicting that the religious right will stage a revolution and are calling for people to try to prevent that revolution and be prepared if it happens. Now you may find their prediction crazy, or at least over the top, but a prediction that the other guy is going to start a revolution is not, in fact, a call for revolution.
Bullshit. this is Ratagan's intro, word for word: He then goes on to list the reasons why he thinks the time has come. Including things the right wing hasn't objected to loudly. the CLEAR context is that in HIS opinion revolution is necessary, not a prediction of someone else on the other side doing so. Rall: "The American left has been very peaceful since...Kent State, and where has it gotten us?" How is THAT a prediction that the right wing gun nuts are gonna revolt? Rall: "What do we do? John Locke said the people have an obligation to revolt..." But then, it's clear to anyone in possession of a fair mind, so why am i arguing with you?
I've never even heard of this Ted Rall, who was just some guest, and I doubt anyone here has ever heard of Ted Rall before. Yet the right wing media will no doubt spin stuff until this no body supposedly now speaks for everyone who isn't as far right as Mussolini.
Wow, he writes for something called "The Village Voice" which appears local to L.A. because even down here in San Diego no news stands carry it, he has some also part time radio show on a low output station in L.A., and (his supposedly big claim to fame) he occasionally sells cartoons to the L.A. Times. Wow, yes. I can see that now that TardForge is right. This guy clearly is the secret nerve center of liberalism and he is no doubt on Obama's speed dial while individual congressmen clearly call him nightly so they can see what his take on important events are.
You're a moron. The Village Voice is operated by Village Voice Media, which has two dozen weeklies just like it in every major city in the U.S.
I'm in bumfuck Alabama and even I know what The Village Voice is. Hell, I picked up a copy in NYC the last time I was up there just for shits and giggles.
MSNBC's agenda since September has explicitly been to portray Tea Party/Tax Revolt as a fringe movement supported by anarchists and nut jobs, and to portray each and every candidate as nutty as the worst contenders (like O'Donnell or Miller). It became their Raison d'être, so much so that if they lose the Tea Revolt the channel will lose its identity.
My favorite bitchslap scene is still at the beginning of Streets of Fire when Michael Pere takes the Bali-Song away from the punk, closes it, slaps him a few times, then puts the knife back in his hand. And then does it again.
Guys!!!! Of course Oerdin knows who Ted Rall and the Village Voice is in the world of leftism. But it's S.O.P to DDB when they get caught being stupid and to also back each other up. So Liet being a total moron gets it all wrong. Oerdin won't call him on it so he has to DDB and pretend he's never heard of Ted Rall or the Village Voice.
/\ Outta rep, but exactly. "'Village Voice'? What is this 'Village Voice' you speak of? Is it some small Iowa town? Is it a 'The Prisoner' fanzine? I have not heard of this 'Village Voice.'" Kid Korruption is just carrying the water for his daddy's Korruption Kabal.
