...and I don't like it very much. At this point I'm just in it for the trophies. My problem with the game? Well... I'm not a big first-person shooter fan to begin with. And maybe it's cause I'm not use to that genre but certain objectives seem unclear. In some sections (mostly where something isn't glowing red) I seem to run around in a circle getting killed while trying to figure out what the game wants me to do. Case in point, I just played through a bit 5 times (getting killed by police 5 times) because I couldn't figure out where the hell I was supposed to go. I had to stop and look it up online. Turns out I'm supposed jump and press R1 to break glass mid-air despite never hearing about or seeing this ability before. Nothing in the tutorial level, and not a single hint on screen. How bout a glowing red something behind this second level glass wall I now have the ability to superpower through? I know this game is supposed to be based on free runners but some of these moves just seem crazy, I mean Super Mario would envy this chick. Maybe I'm just getting too old for video games period. The whole story seems like it was crafted out of a 14 year olds dream world. "Yeah! I'm a runner I'm going to buck it to the man cause I know best!"
Mirror's Edge aint that the game with the chick jumping and climbing and stuff? I'll stick with blasting "Infected" in L4Dead 1&2.
I haven't played it, mainly because it doesn't really seem all that interesting to me, but wouldn't that be an ability that should be described in the instruction manual? Or am I the only person on the planet who still READS the manual...
I really enjoyed it, I guess it is just dependent on the person playing it. I saw nothing wrong with it, I never had much of a problem finding my way. I enjoyed that it was something different from what was out there at the time. Story wasn't amazing, but it was interesting enough.
I finished it the other day. By the time I got pretty far in it became a little clearer in what the game wanted me to do. There were still some parts where it was like "WTF am I supposed to be doing here?" Then there's the part you have to play 30 times in a row before you stick the landing just right. Climbing up the construction tower comes to mind.
