I love how the TightyRighties keep saying liberals are "scared" of Palin, when the fact is most find her somewhere between boring and entertaining.

FOX, meanwhile, is taking an interesting stance:

What's entertaining is that she wouldn't be nearly as popular or visible if so many on the left didn't give her so much attention.

Oh, I think you badly underestimate the reactions of the left towards Palin. Very badly.

It's amusing how g wants to preach to the Palin camp about their poor choice of words when she basically calls them undergarments...

I guess she's just upset she didn't come up with "Tea Bagger" in time to get credit for that public relations bonanza.

    Eeeeeeeeexactly.

Excellent speech (or statement, or whatever).

I notice she said something about God at the end. That should be good for at least 3 liberal heart attacks today.

Really? You're equating a reference to the murder of Jews to a moderately amusing insult?

So in Palin's metaphor, she's...what? Equating being picked on by the "lamestream media" with the murder of Jews? Martyr much?

Alan Dershowitz has told us that it's ok to use the term as a broad metaphor.

He is an intelligent, respected Jew. You are a dumbass, homosexual, crack-sniffing Jew. Go piss up a rope.

I don't care what Alan Dershowitz's stance on the matter is. I also don't care what your stance on the matter, or anything else, is.

    Now go fix my computer.

You seem a little emotional today.

Did you wake up with a condom hanging out of your ass again?

Stealing a Muad joke? Low, even for you.

And I'm not emotional about this at all. I'm actually enjoying conservatives bending over backwards and sideways to defend Palin. It's conservatives who are scared shitless of her, not liberals.

It's not a joke. You're a fag. The likelihood of you waking up with one hanging out of your ass after being butt fucked by a guy who didn't want to stick around and left while you were asleep is extremely high.

    :wtf:

Sounds like she's doing a fine job of 'defending' herself. A better question would be - why is she having to defend herself at all? She doesn't have anything to do with this. It's a proven fact that you're eventually going to have to come to grips with.

Nobody said anything about being scared shitless. Why did you mention this? Interesting.

    :chris:

But, I'll play along... why are conservatives scared shitless of her? This should be good.

    Easy.

    1. They don't want to end up on her bad side.
    2. They want to ruin their chances of getting her in the sack.

Have you ever heard a hard-core conservative criticize her? Question her? Take her to task on anything? Of course not. Because they're scared of her and the power she has in the Republican party. And they want to fuck her.

Silk Spectre wagered that Ms. Palin would be unable to respond to this incident without using the word "blood."

I had thought that Ms. Palin would be quite pacifistic for some time. It appears I was wrong. I go now to take Silk Spectre out for a very expensive dinner.

“When you flood the zone with language that suggests your opponents are not just wrong-headed but illegitimate and anti-American ... this is dangerous and it provides a climate where a fringe group of extremists and mentally ill people are going to be encouraged to do something.”

Her entire argument is a red herring, I'm afraid. And I'm pretty sure it's not her argument as such, but one that someone else has made for her, and to which she's put her name.

But yes, I'm terrified of Palin - that someone like that could become the most powerful person in the world.

Gee, Rick, what an epiphany. A politician who has speech writers. I'm surprised that you didn't accuse her of "copying off of" Obama.

    She's not a politician. She's a media figure.

She stopped being a politician when she abandoned the people of Alaska halfway through her term as governor.

If you're trying to imply that I support Obama, you're wrong, and I've demonstrated that sufficiently for anyone reasonable to realise it.

As for Palin, there's a reason McCains campaign team kept her away from the press, and it's not a secret. Her understanding of political issues is much too shallow to withstand any scrutiny. As such, she is not capable of formulating the sort of argument presented in the OP.
