i know i'm pretty late to the game and haven't been around in a while, so i apologize if there's already been a thread about this, but....does anyone here have swype on your cell? my phone is a pile of crap and i'm forced to get a new one, but everything that's offered for free has this swype technology and i'm a'skeered shitless to give up my physical qwerty. any opinions from people who have used it? thanks!

Not everyone is cool enough to handle the mighty Samsung Convoy.

All the phones that come offered with it have the ability to turn it off, so you can just use the basic on-screen QWERTY.

But I've used it, I definitely liked it -- but I'm much faster with the regular one.

I'm not opposed to Swype. But if you are pron to use obscure "words" like "buttsecks", be prepared to have to type shit in by hand--until the mojobox knows a few of the words you use.

I tried swype and it really wasn't for me. So for my phone I downloaded SwiftKey and to be honest, IMO, every Android phone should come with this keyboard installed.
