    Why?

Only because you have answered my very clear questions of "why?"

What if they didn't already have children? what if they weren't past childbearing age, and they still didn't, or couldn't have children? Should infertile people not marry?

I see nothing wrong with it. As long as they are not of the same sex of course.

Ya'll are arguing a bunch of bull anyway.

You do know that the vast majority of married heterosexual couples eventually produce a child.

Doesn't have to be 100% to be a valid point.

Well maybe if you gave a good reason as to why gays shouldn't be allowed to marry or adopt other than because it offends you, we'd take you seriously instead of giving you bullshit answers.

I'll stick with 500 million years of evolution and 8,000 years of culture over the political correctness of the last couple of decades.

Culture that made it an "EVIIIILLLL DEED" to have any homosexual feelings? Yeah, that's a great basis. A culture based upon one singularly book with no substantial evidence of it's origins.

BTW, many Roman and Greek men, of royalty, used slave boys for sex.

Don't take what I say as "hating" on the Bible, as I believe many of the books in it are great teachings(and also should be read by everyone at least once). However, we have that evidence because of the pedestal it has been placed on. Which means that ever since it's first incarnation, people will continue to try and save it.

    Which they should.

But we've also lost millions of manuscripts(and probably large bits of recorded history) due to peoples hatred for beliefs that don't align with their own.

I understand where you are coming from, however -- why is it that you can not accept what others believe in and feel? Why do you feel that because their views are different than yours, it is not right?

In not so many words: What makes you right and others wrong?

The burden of proof for the supernatural is a lot higher, always has been, probably because the consequences of taking it seriously are a lot different.

Yeah...about that. If after 500 million years of evolution homosexuality is still present in the species, it's a lot more natural than you must think. As for the culture of the last whatever amount of time period you choose, it's not really relevant. Slavery was okay in most places up until the 1800s, would you have suggested that it was just political correctness to end it had you been living in 1865? What about interracial marriages being illegal up until the 1970's? The only thing a consensus should tell you when you're making a decision is how many people might be upset.

Wow, and the amazing thing is that you're surprised that no one would let you adopt.

You really should read the New Testament again, at least until you understand Jesus' teachings. Aaaaaaand I quote:

Also, why are you ignoring perfectly good evidence of homosexuality being present in history? You completely cut that out of your response, so once again:

Click the links! They're good reads!

EDIT: P.S. I'm sure God and Jesus does not look kindly upon your self-righteous attitude.

This is where your error begins - assuming that your arguments REALLY ARE outside of religion.

People don't get married to have children. People get married because they fall in love, or want companionship.

Some humans - like other animals - mate for life. Offspring are, more often than not, a ... side affect, if you will.

IOW, correlation does not equal causation.

    You really believe that?

For a man, about the only way to have a child he can be confident is his is to get married.

From that standpoint, a man marrying a woman is an evolutionary imperative.

Someone on WF was cheating on their spouse? and the spouse registered on WF and found out about it?

Irregardless (and yes, I use that on purpose!) of any gossip, there seems to be a strong favoritism shown by some for the concept of open marriage.

Does it matter? This just proves something that I've known for the past several years -- Dayton is batshit insane and nothing he says has any merit whatsoever.

Also, I would go as far as to say that he needs to be locked up for his own good, and in no way should he ever be allowed to teach anyone elses children...let alone be allowed within 300 feet of a school.

If someone's hiding under a bed...it's not really an "open marriage" type of situation.

I don't believe the people here who engage in that kind of activity wouldn't condone any kind of "sneaking around".

I did not marry my wife to have kids. Now one day we most likely will, but that wasn't why I married her. I married her b/c I love her.

... and she let me screw her in the back of a volkswagen.
