Chemical weapons. That's right, Libya supposedly gave up all of it's chemical weapons to the UN a few years back but Rebel forces are now claiming they have found warehouses in the southern desert filled with chemical weapons.

What? Ghadaffi wasn't honest? The hell you say.

Wonder if any of the weapons are marked "Made in Iraq"? :ramen:

But I thought Bush attacking Iraq made Gaddafi give up his weapons?

Dammit, can't Bush do anything right? :jayzus:

I know what you're really wondering here. You're wondering if there aren't some really cool hiding places out in the Iraqi desert that we never found.

    Aintcha??

Everything I'm seeing on this stems from claims by the Libyan Government. If it is true then they need to be secured ASAP.

Not really. We pretty much combed the desert. If there were anything to find we would have found them. Hell we found a couple chlorine gas mortars left over from the Iran-Iraq war buried out there even. Any significant stockpile would definitely have been picked up.

Lefties that support an illegal war to overthrow a lawfully elected government that we have normalized diplomatic relations with?

Interestingly enough, its said that the nuclear weapons gear that Libya turned over to the US was used to test the Stuxnet worm before deploying it against the Iranians. Nobody else had the same gear available for the kind of destructive testing required to make sure it would work or not.

I was thinking of posting the Spaceballs picture but comparing Anc to those characters? That would've been pretty low. Despite his assurances (and I do believe they did a thorough job) the Iraqi desert is a big place.
