The school, because of confidentiality, is extremely limited in what it can say in its own defense ... which means the mother can say pretty much anything she wants to in order to make the school look bad in the media for disciplining her little angel.

Many schools have very wide ranging definitions about what they call "not showing proper respect for school staff".

These schools are getting rediculous. I don't know how many kids I've know get suspected because they struck back in self-defense because of some zero-[-]thought process[/-] tolerance policy in place. Hell, my brother and this other kid didn't even strike punches, but still got two days just for drawing a crowd!

Or, even more incredulous, me (a second-grader) almost getting suspended for punching a third grader in the nose when he and his buddies (in the plural) tried to drag me into the boys' bathroom--and this was back in 1993.

Fuck the public school system.

From a European standpoint, some parts of US society come off a bit whacko because people will try to put everything children do into a negative sexual context. Why is that so?
