    R71 passed pretty handidly (53-47) in 09, making Washington the first state where equal rights were approved by popular vote. Support has only grown since then.

    something like 23 senate dems are up for reelection. You never know. And taking away judicial review is something that the courts have recognized is within Congress' power Although there is a strong presumption of reviewability on constitutional questions. Would be an interesting case.

    Let's see, an open meeting in a public space in a public building, and they want to remove people based on religion - pretty obvious violation of the First Amendment there. Looks like the police agreed with that too, which is why they declined to remove anyone.

    Not even remotely as attempting to remove judicial review would be such an obvious violation of the constitution even the right wing partisans on the Supreme Court would have to knock it down. Judicial review of all laws to insure they conform with the constitution is clearly spelled out in the constitution.

    Ok so you have a reactionary group who wanted to toss a reporter that they felt wasn't in line with their beliefs. They tried to remove the reporter and was told to STFU. This private group wants members in alignment with their beliefs. This group is also antagonistic towards outsiders. Then the reporter felt uncomfortable and the writing sucked. Big deal. Ok so the group is IMO filled with ass hats and folks I wouldn't associate with and who probably have a snow balls chance in hell of being successful.

    I don't really think Dominic was uncomfortable. Being a gay man AND writing for the Stranger, the editor of which Dan Savage, made the term Santorum part of the modern lexicon, he really wan't that predisposed to like these guys to begin with.
