    Really?

    Uh, yeah.

Not only did he survive, but he managed to escape unnoticed.

    Convenient Plot Device #101.

    Fuck this piece of trash.

Taylor getting away was the only part that I didn't like, everything else was awesome. Best line had to be "A thousand... sounds like a nice, round number". It will be interesting to see how the colony copes when they start to feel the equipment and medication shortages, I'm guessing they will be pushing to increase thier production capability in a big hurry, and maybe build a backup chip synthesizer.

I liked how the Pheonix Groups soldiers were not portrayed as simple stereotypical mercenaries. i.e mean and bloodthirsty. They apparently did not go out of their way to kill any of the Terra Nova colonists.

It was nice to see Malcolm, who they have flirted with the idea of making a bad guy turn out to be a decent and even heroic fellow after all. His and Shannon's idea of "hiding" Shannon from Lucas by making him appear deaf, concussed, and crippled by the explosion was clever. Not to mention Commander Taylor's whole deal of etching coordinates into the bullets they shot the Pheonix soldiers with.

I'm serious. Lucas Taylor was the cold blooded murderer. The mercenaries for example avoided running over Shannon earlier when he was deafened or the guy in the wheelchair later.

Do you really think 'not running over a guy in a wheelchair on mainstreet' makes them good guys? They did a nice job of characterizing the mercs in the bar, when the bartender told them what their drinks cost and they just stared him down until he told them they were free.

Or perhaps when they warned Shannon's wife that if they caught him wandering near the fence again they'd kill him?

Or when they smashed Shannon in the face with a rifle and knocked him backwards down a flight of stairs?

    Are you retarded?

I'm certain TV shows are heavily edited prior to air where ever it is that Dayton lives. (Norphlet Arkansas)

I didn't mean to say they were "nice guys".

Just that they were not murderous.

Except they actually threatened to murder a person who was believed to be mentally handicapped just because he was inconveniencing them.

You're right, they didn't 'murder' anyone on camera, but they DID shell a civilian colony. So maybe we just give them a B-minus in murder?

A civilian colony protected by professional soldiers who were offering sustained resistance. That made it a perfectly legitimate target.

Do you remember the soldiers were also 'making examples' of people who resisted during the occupation?

They executed Washington in the town square for crying out loud. Shot her in the face vietnam-style.

That wasn't one of the soldiers who executed her. That was Lucas Taylor.

I've yet to see TN, but based on threads about it here & elsewhere it sounds like it's {trying to be?} a mixture of "Land of the Lost", "LOST", & maybe even "PREDATORS" {tad}.

There's not nearly as much 'hurr mystery' as LOST, and the questions that ARE raised actually get answered and make sense.

I liked the ep. I thought they played it pretty well, especially the setup for next season's issues. It wasn't perfect, the show isn't, but it's better than most of the crap they put out today, IMO.

I started to watch this series when it premiered, but didn't get around to watching the recording before it got deleted from the DVR. After that, the previews looked pretty silly, so I never bothered with it. My youngest daughter watched the whole season and says she won't watch next year because it's pretty bad.

    I hope it gets cancelled.
